Notice that today 2008.02.29, or Feb 29 is a special day. I mean the next chance for you to have this day would be four years later, don't you think this day is cool?

I get a cell phone text message today from a friend, she wants to know if I have an arrangement or something to spend for today. To post is my answer. Smile

Yeah, special day is for your unique one.

I don't observe February 29th. Instead my years are the correct length of (roughly, since it's more accurate than 365 days) 365.25 days. After "today", you guys will finally be observing the correct day, March 1st, but today is February 28th.

What about all those poor kids who have birthdays on February 29th? Presents only every 4 years Silly

As I see it, February 29th is a great day for procrastinators. Every 4 years it allows them to put off annual events by 1 more day!

I realize that I made a mistake in my last post. Right now here, it is March 1. And in US this time must be February 29th, so I still have chance to be in this special day again this year, if I took a plane and flew to your country. Smile

But on the other side, I would miss a day when I came back to China. One day just disappears while I am trying to have an other day again.

Every day is a busy day.

Days past and we are still here.

I wanna say that every single day is so special and we shall treasure that. But we all know that it is not the day, but the person that you care. That one is so important to you and, the bad thing is that you are always the last one to know that.

February 29th is a very important day, even though it only falls once every four years. It's the modern world's ways of keeping the seasons of the year in order and at some sort of constant. They would be all out of sync (as we know them to fall) as a year is actually 365 days and approximately 6 hours long. It's amazing how they would be affected if we got rid of feb 29th! If it had never been introduced then we'd be sitting here and it would be mid May at the moment, but still as cold as it is now! (Northern Hemisphere speaking!)

We were kind of hoping that my brother's fiancee would have her baby on that day because that would have been an interesting birthday to have although I believe when a child is born on February twenty ninth like that they give the child and parent the option of deciding whether or not they would like a March first or a February twenty eighth birthday. Over all however it was a very boring, very uneventful day for us that was the same as most others. I didn't even really realize what the day was until later in the evening, but that's because life has been busy this past week. It is pretty cool how we do get one of those days every four years though.

My friend's sister was asked out on the 29th of February - a perfect way of getting out of having to deal with anniversaries and the like. Silly I should've planned a little better.

I was born in a Leap Year, got married in a Leap Year, and my oldest was born in a Leap Year!

Had I been born on time, I would have been celebrating my Birthday on February 29th, however I was late arriving, so missed out!
