Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@XXX.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

It is not a matter of what kind of CMS I do install in my hosting here, I keep getting this 500 Internal Server Error. It is so weird.

Even I do make a successful installation in somewhere else, and clone that every move to here, that 500 still keep showing up. Sad

OK, I might be wrong.

There is one CMS that works, WordPress 2.3.2, and I am working on it now.

Let's just forget about that 500 thing, it is not that important now.

WordPress is a blog system, not a CMS (Content Management System).

Check the server error log when you get a 500 error, details for the reason are usually in there.

I intend to use Limbo for my portal now, I mean, the php+txt one. No matter the MySQL is working or not, it would work nicely.

And since there are not much articles in my portal, I think the Limbo won't be too slow.

The most annoying 500 Internal Server Error comes back.

I have been trying to get a new CMS for my site. After testing on other place, I upload Limbo to my account here, but get only 500 Internal Server Error pages.

Maybe the problem is that I upload a zip file and extracted the file. So I tried a simple one, CMSimple. I uploaded all the files, but not the compression.

Again 500 Internal Server Error. What's wrong?

Since the PBPP, of the last December, is not been reset yet. I don't think Trel is free to check the support tickets.

Could you post your error log? Its in your cPanel, 3rd from the bottom in the "Stats" section. As you can see in this thread I too was getting a 500 error while trying to install a CMS. I managed to resolve my problem, perhaps I could help you?

Even though you got it fixed already, you mnight want to take a look at this knowledge base article about Internal Server errors and what could cause them. (And more importantly, what to do about it)

i think from reading through some of the posts in the support forums and it looks like that since the upgrade the server has been giving Internal Server Errors, even on sites that have previously had no trouble, so it could be a server problem more than the actual website
