I agree with you. To edit the old topic and earn points secretly, that's really cleaver.
I do the same set on my forum too. But the point system there is not like this one. Point there means a little. You get one point for one post, and one for reply. The points are never reset. There are just there.
The reason that I set the 60 minutes rule is that I do want people to focus on what they are posting and treasure it. Some just makes light of his writing, and submit it right after finishing it and never check what he put in the article. Some would be so upset after other reply to his post and say something different, he would delete his post on an impulse. I do value every post on my forum and do not want to lose them like this. This is my reason that on my forum, and maybe only works there.  |
