LOL, they are obviously gloves on the first drawing, and the females are clearly different females. If I had to guess the first one would be either Evangeline Lilly (Lost) or Kristin Kreuk (Smallville). The second looks kind of like Cameron Diaz.
The linework is fairly good, very expressive and fluid. In my opinion the coloring is somewhat left to be desired in terms of color intensity; the colors are looking kind of faded. But if that was the intent, it's not faded quite enough to look intended. I'm not a fan of the background and lighting effects in the first one. I would love to see it with the nice and clean white background like in the second one, but leaving the prop that she is leaning on, I think that would look killer, and much more compositionally sound.
The face on the first one is amazing, there's not a thing I would change. Although, the second one looks kind of awkward; and it just may be the facial expression, well actually, it is the facial expression, definately. Overall though, not being so critical as I was above, they are excellent. _________________ [img:941f13b8ba]http://thegamersjournal.com/newsig.gif[/img:941f13b8ba]

Thanks for the feedback, I agree I haven't got the coloring down yet.
The second face doesn't look like it did on the sketch, my newb-computer-coloring screwed it up.
The girls aren't anyone famous. The third is up, and I'm working on a fourth. Thanks again for the replies.

Lovely drawings. I just love the first picture, I think it's beautifully done. I particularly like the shading of the girl's face, very detailed. And also, I agree with drath, her face reminds me strongly of Kristin Kreuk.
The second picture also looks great, but the smile on that girl seems too big, almost scarily maniacal. Were you aiming for that effect, or is it just me? _________________ Tarakana NET |
