Even I must have forgot I did something, but I am sure that one of my database tables has disappeared, so has some files in my directory. Has there recently been anything that has been backed up earlier? As I am trying to find where my stuff has disappeared to.
Thanks Luke _________________ Visit

Mr Bulldog
I am really sorry for what happened to your data and tables..
I can quite relate to it as one of the servers where i was hosting my website got hacked some time back and i know it wsa quite tedious to bring back my site to where it was.
As far as how it happened..
It happens either if the server collapse for some reason but lifeless is to going pretty fine..
As my site on lifeless have not been down even for a sec.. And my data is also intact..
All my tables are in the best of health as well..
However i think you password might have gotten in some wrond hands,,
Before starting the restoration work just make very sure you get it changed..
So that whoever did that, If somebody did, Then he can not do it again..
Or If you did some blunder yrself..
So if you are in a habbit of playing with crucial data, like me, then make verty sure again that you have back of everything you can on the permanent medium...
Because this thing will to keep happening..
One cannot avoid it but one can be a bit more cautious at the same time..
But anyhow , i just pray for now that you get your data and the tables recovered .. very soon.. |

Don't know much about what happen to cause this, but you might want to look at your mysql routines in your code and also change your name/passwords just incase either you been exploited or your n/p has gotten out.
As for tring to recover. I do believe Trel does do off server, server backup's every month and if PM'd might be able to recover any lost files, but beforewarned that it will restore your account, files, sql, and content to what was archived.
Also, if you look under the backup section in cpanel. I believe you can find backup's of your mysql databases not sure how often those get backed up and don't know if the nightly cleaning of the databases have overwrote the previous day's back ups.
good luck in your quest to get your stuff back. I have been there before and it sucks. |
