Are you really sure? Because on system/server status is clear that SMTP is down on Aesir (Page last generated: 15th April 2006 15:53) . If it is up then I must have some problem here at my home, because I can not send anything at all whole day.

The status page is wrong in this case.

telnet aesir.lifelesspeople.com 25 will show you that.

Not a problem.

Turns out the status page was right and I was right.

Access was being denied in an odd way. It wasn't down but, access was being routed around in some odd way that caused problems on a handful of ISPs.

Anyhow it appears to be sorted. If you see anything else like this just let us know.

Well, I have a question too.

Yesterday my mail wasn't working so I put it off and said it was a mess up and you're fixing it. THen today, still no luck. I poked around and I turned on SSL and it worked. Did you change anything to say you can't log into email through a client unless you have SSL?

If anything that is likely caused by a firewall or your ISP blocking ports.

Change your SMTP port to port 26 if you cannot send email via L2P anymore.

It looks like your account may have been frozen due to the amount of emails it had sent.

I've reset it.

Odd. I don't send any emails from my account.. Do cron jobs count? I've been running those jobs for a long time now.. Unfortunately I'm still getting the errors. I just checked my email and I've just received one again (every 15 minutes because that's what its set to). I suppose I should open up a ticket about this soon.

That would be best.
