I was very dissapointed that this happened, but people who you think are decent may actually turn out to be total asses:

Sorry for any excess of swearing, but im sure you get my point now! I dont get it! sometimes people are just online to have fun! I know I am. Some people must thrive on conflict. I was one one forum:

I asked a simple question, and someone named "VDrip" came on there and started a flame war with me. He was just being a total *** and ruining a good thread that was going well up to that point. Serious question... Is it at all possible for the majority of people on the internet to sit down and have a good intellectual discussion without going at each others throats over beliefs? Maybe we can all benefit from reading on another's ideas. Other people may bring up points that you had not thought of. I still have yet to see about this forum, but it looks like a great user community so far! Please don't disappoint me!

I don't quite understand what you are getting at.
People are assholes wherever you go, and since you can interact online without being face-to-face, people are more likely to be assholes because of the lack of ramifications (or at least lower chance of them).

I was just bringing up the point, seeing if anybody has had that happen to them, and perhaps seeing if anybody knew any places that don't have this problem. I am guessing that this Forum doesn't due to the strict rules on not flaming.
Oh, and I still love this one, just totaly random and 100% **** up:

If this bothers you, then don't ever play Xbox Live.
Also as pharmer4 said, people are assholes in real life as well, the only difference about the people online is they are probably just little kids who can't get pushed around in real life but just be jerks online because you can't really do anything back.

I'm an ****** alot of the time. On or off the net  Unless I like you. It's weird.
You shouldn't get so worked up though over clans on the net. The idea of a clan is silyl anyways. I hate when i join game servers and have to deal with the silly clans who all stick together and act lame on there. Which is why i usually only play games that have full open public servers.
I can understand why you'd be mad though if you invested so much into something, but then again soon you'll be over it and think it's silly. So don't let it get you so stressed.

I am. Just looking back analytically. Also, my clan is not one of those lame clans. Our servers are almost always open to the public, we don't make enemys often, and I like to pwn my own clan members  . Most of our games arent team games anyways, although internet gaming clans are a different subject all together

| Unfortunately no matter where you are, you will always run into someone who thrives on creating drama and conflict. There are a lot of people in the world who want to be mean and nasty with you regardless of what you do. They do not even need to know you on anything other than a message forum or in some cases they know even less about you and they still cause you problems. My best advice is to simply ignore all those people who go out of their way to cause issues. It might seem difficult, but eventually it will become easier for you and then you won't have to worry about the constant bickering and fighting. |
