I've been trying to upload a video recently, but it seems like no matter what I do, it wont work. It's just a regular video like the rest of mine. It's three minutes and fifteen seconds, the file size is 72MB, and the file type is WMV. I've uploaded longer videos with larger file types in the past, so I can't figure out why this one wont work. I tried the regular single file upload, and it doesn't get halfway before it says an error has occured. After that failed several times, I tried using the multi-video uploader. At 31% it stopped and said "network error" and it now says it timed out. Any idea what the problem could be? Do videos just stop uploading after a certain amount of time? I know videos always takes ages to upload, and I've uploaded largers videos before, so I don't imagine that's what the problem is.

Oh wait, hold on a second. I was too lazy to close out the tab, so I just ended up leaving it alone for a while and I just took a peek at it. It now says 70%. Was that whole error thing just a hiccup in the uploading process?

The longer it takes to upload, the higher the probability of a network error or time out.
You can speed things up by uploading smaller files. Encoding the video at 'Youtube resolution' (something small, like 320x240 or 480x360) could be a good solution. Encoding at a lower quality is also an option, but quality may suffer twice because Youtube does their own recoding, too, if I'm correct.

This is not guaranteed to make uploads work all the time. Your upload will also have a hard time coming through during peak hours, when Youtube's servers are working their *** off. Your best bet is to try again on failure.

It seems like every other video I try uploading doesn't work the first few times I try it. I've heard of people uploading videos that took many hours to upload (I heard of a 36-hour upload). How is that even possible? I know you can upload 1GB videos now, but I struggle to get videos that are over 70MB or so uploaded. It will look like it's doing fine, and then I just randomly get an error message. Sometimes it happens quicker than other times. Has anyone here ever uploaded a really long/large video before? I mean, something that's almort 10 minutes or almost 1GB in size..?

Try looking at your connection. You may have an unstable one.

And yes, I have uploaded videos with filesize of more than 100MB, and I hardly get any error.
