Jens Lehmann, hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
A nasty, malevolent, niggling, cheating, diving( and not in the normal Goalkeeping way), excuse for a 'professional footballer'.
We are three games into the season and he has made two whopping mistakes already, the latest one, spilling a tame shot from Blackburn's David Dunn (who incidentally hadn't scored for FOUR YEARS) over his right shoulder and into the net. Honestly if you squinted, it was like watching Pat Bonner playing for Ireland against Holland
Hopefully he will be dropped and return to Germany in disgrace. He has brought nothing to the English game, I admit he has brought some match winning performances to Arsenal Football Club, but to the game as a whole, his presence has been like a festering carbuncle on the neck of a loved one.
Good riddance, hopefully. |

Aren't Arsenal only two games in to the season? Makes it even worse!
And less of the Bonner stuff you. _________________ [img:2b23f8c1d9]http://i15.tinypic.com/6fq09pl.jpg[/img:2b23f8c1d9] |

Semantics Irish, semantics, we are, according to the official Premier League website about to start Gameweek 4
And as for Pat Bonner, the guy is a legend, but 1994 was calamitous. |

Arsenal go into this fixture on the back of a win away at Sparta Prague, and will be quite buoyant by their excellent start. Rovers will have played on Thursday evening, so although they have the home advantage, will the extra day mean an advantage to The Gunners?
Simple answer, no! Another howler from goalkeeper Jens Lehmann allowed Blackburn Rovers back into the game. Most Arsenal supporters are calling for him to be axed from the team, however, as it turns out, he has an achilles injury from his participation for Germany against England at Wembley last night, and will be ruled out for two weeks. This allows either Almunia or Fabienski to take their chance and squeeze Jens out naturally, without him actually being dropped.

The early leaders, Manchester City come to Ashburton Grove, with a one hundred per cent record at this stage. Former England manager Sven Goran-Erikkson is at the helm these days at City, and perhaps proving a point to the critics who forced him out of his job at National level..... _________________ It feels so empty without a signature, so here is some mindless gabble to occupy the space |

Arsenal do enough!!
Apparently Jens reacted well to being dropped
According to the British press he stormed out of training and got on a plane back to Germany. I hope the Teutonic tosspot stays there
Cesc Fabregas scored to give the gooners three points but Robin Van Persie missed a penalty ( I am a bit gutted, he is in my fantasy league team )
The league is getting interesting, Arsenal, Chelsea and liverpool are all going well, meanwhile Yoonited are second from bottom ( I am so happy I could just poo) |

Well, a convincing three goal to one victory puts us second in the table with the same amount of points as early leaders, Liverpool, and the top two both have a game in hand over the chasing pack.
Personally, I was a little upset with referee Mark Halsey dishing out a red card to Phillipe Senderos, but the dismissal opened the game up, and made it far more enjoyable. Arsenal at the time were two goals to the good, and cruising, and Portsmouth were not really in the game at this point. As it turns out, Arsenal went on to score a third, only for Portsmouth to hit back with something of a freak goal only seconds later. The scorer, Kanu, looked somewhat bemused, and seemed to fail to understand quite how the ball ended up in the back of the net.
From that point, end to end football was ensured, and made for a great spectacle, although my heart muscles need the International break to recover
Next up will be our closest and most hated rivals, Tattenham Hotspuds at their place..... _________________ It feels so empty without a signature, so here is some mindless gabble to occupy the space |

Breathe a sigh of relief, Gooners, ArSIGN Wenger has put pen to paper on a contract extension.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/h.....981442.stm
He's good until 2011. Not sure how much of an effect the departures of Vice Chairman David Dein and Thierry Henry would have had on his decision to stay or allez. Possible takeover rumours wouldn't have helped either - American billionaire Stan Kroenke and Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone were both linked over the summer. The former causing the departure of David Dein. I think there's still a lot of mileage in this story yet.
In other news, Jens Lehmann has taken a swipe at his critics.
http://www.skysports.com/story.....60,00.html
Jens hasn't been alone in an error or two this season. Tony Warner at Fulham has also made a couple of costly errors between the sticks, in the three games he's played. He's just got to get back to doing what he does best and put pressure on Manuel Almunia. |

I am so very pleaed that manager, Arsene Wenger has signed a new contract, although I am not so sure that it was ever in too much doubt. My theory is that for him to leave, he would have to go somewhere bigger, and that fairly much limits the options available! Perhaps only the chance of managing France could lure him away from Ashburton Grove.
Jens Lehmann was only out through injury, ironically playing against England for Germany at Wembley Stadium. I know that Arsene Wenger has a lot of faith in him, so my guess is that he will walk straight back into the first team once fully fit.
This weekend allows a bit of relaxation, as it is National duties for many players, howvere next weekend sees the return to action against the old enemy from just up the road.

Tattenham have not got the best of records against us, and also not the best of starts to their own season this time around, however as always in a local derby, form counts for nothing, and opnly pride is at stake. _________________ It feels so empty without a signature, so here is some mindless gabble to occupy the space |

I wonder which Tottenham will turn up to this one. I think that will determine the result. _________________ [img:2b23f8c1d9]http://i15.tinypic.com/6fq09pl.jpg[/img:2b23f8c1d9] |

Well, on the bright side, goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has been ruled out of the game against Tottenham Hotspur, and Manuel Almunia will keep his place, which means we will be a tougher nut to crack at the back, and talking of defence, Bacary Sagna returns to action after a short spell out through injury.
However with Phillipe Senderos suspended for that ridiculous red card decision, the one where the referee was obviously watching something other than the football match in front of him, and Emmanuel Eboue ruled out through injury, it would seem probable that Gilberto Da Silva will drop back into the back four.
The game kicks off early, but will not be televised, much to my annoyance, however I take solice in the fact that BBC Radio FiveLive will be covering events in Middlesex.

Not liking what I am seeing, it is worrying and Arsenal have earned their top position on the table, never minding that there have only been a handful of games so far. That last match sums it up, great attacking play and many chances created, and being able to net 3 despite that. Almost makes me forget that Henry left |

Well, a delicious three goals to one victory over our nearest neighbours leaves a somewhat sugary taste Arsenal tore them to shreds, and despite being a goal behind, never really looked in too much danger of losing the match.
That followed by a three goals to nil victory over Sevilla in The Champions League on Wednesday evening in what I imagined would have been quite a test. The Gunners passed the test with relative ease, and breezed past The Spaniards.

Tuesday evening sees our youngsters take on Newcastle United in The Carling Cup. Last season our youngsters made it all the way to The Final, and outclassed a full strength Chelsea, although ending up as beaten finalists, so this season, anything is possible. _________________ It feels so empty without a signature, so here is some mindless gabble to occupy the space |

Sitting nicely at the top of the league, and playing beautiful footballa t that to! You lot must be loving it, after critics tipped you to fall apart after Henry's departure (much like us after Ruud Van Nistelrooy's departure - and guess what happened we won the league! - lets hope you dont do that!!), youre younger players have stepped up and took responsibility in games and its show too, but then again you havn't played a BIG team yet! |

I would not call it comprehensive, but Sunderland were dispatched as others have been this season, by a three goals to two margin, and Arsenal march on. A two point gap at the top, and a game in hand over the others to boot.
This weekend sees all The Internationals, so a nice break from the humdrum. Hopefully we can have all thirteen of our players called up return without injury, and continue the quest for The Premiership. _________________ It feels so empty without a signature, so here is some mindless gabble to occupy the space |
