It's pretty good but the one thing that I don't care for much in the layout is the very large text that is on the side bar navigation thingy.
Also, I think the gradients that are behind the texts "Site Navigation" "Sponsors" and "Please Vote" isn't right. You should have it fade from like a dark gray to black or osmetihng like that. OR maybe even just ditch that gradient completely.
Another thing you might want to do is change the color of your Yahoo Publisher text just so it matches the rest of the text on the site. _________________ BreakBoredom - Do you have anything better to do? |

I have to say, I am not sure I like it more than your current theme. I think both of them suffer from not enough contrast in text to background relationship; but I do think the new one is a little better for this. The new layout seems rather chunky and blocky and doesn't seem to match the style in your comics where more organic shapes and lines are present.
The gradient in the background (only fully revealed when the site loads) seems kind of distorted (maybe too much compression).
Your hover effects are pretty decent in application, but the lack of contrast thing is even more visible in this fashion. Using a pure monochromatic theme is very hard to pull off in terms of proper contrast of elements. It might be cool to have certain colors from the top banner in the rest of your elements. Like the dark blue or red.
Speaking of the top banner; I think I actually may like a bigger (or longer one) better. There may be a bit more scrolling involved for the user; but design-wise, it may push your page's overall elongated apperance. Your viewers are going to be scrolling anyways through the comic. If you do choose to use this idea of making the banner bigger, try not to load it with a bunch of objects. Try to keep it busy-free and have lots of negative space so it interacts better with your clean left and right sides (where no elements are).
That's all for now, i'll post some more if I think of it. _________________ The Gamer's Journal | Online Portfolio | Half-Life Library | UNDATA |

| Only thing I can see that is wrong is probably the color of the yahoo ads is slightly off from the main color you use for the website. Other than that, all looks fine. |

It looks pretty good actually, and like Drath mentioned, I too would prefer a larger banner at the top. Good work though! _________________ [img:7c4b7f7171]http://fc01.deviantart.com/fs15/f/2007/101/7/5/Haku_by_pyrogas.jpg[/img:7c4b7f7171] |
