The lights of Broadway will shine brightly again after stagehands and producers reached a tentative agreement Wednesday evening, ending a 19-day strike. full story
Story Highlights
Stagehands walked off the job on November 10

Dispute centered on how many stagehands needed for a Broadway show

Tentative agreement reached late Wednesday

Businesses, theaters lost millions in darkened holiday week

Yeah, the holiday is coming, how boring it would be if the theaters are all closed during those days.

19-day strike is not a loing time, and if the tentative agreement did not reach at last, do you think that would be a matter to you? Or, you do not go to the theater at all Question

This is good news, but doesn't affect me. I don't go to shows, because I don't live in New York.

I do not go to Broadway shows, but I would imagine for those who actually enjoy that kind of entertainment the possibility of those shows not being around would be an issue for them. I would also guess for the actors who are depending on their ability to work in those shows for their livlihood it would be a big thing to be stuck in a strike because unlike the big Hollywood actors they won't have the bank accounts and other means of making the money that they were making before at the Broadway shows. That is just my take on it however.

Since I don't live in New York there not having those shows don't effect me directly, but if I had planned on taking a trip out there to see a show I think I would have been upset to learn that they were not there running as I am sure some must have felt at a time.
