No, you can not (as far as I know).
You have to have a full month amount of PBPP (400 at least) to request hosting.

I just signed up and don't have enough to pay for a full month!
That's ok. For the first month, you only pay for the portion of the month you actually have hosting in. For example, if you sign up on the 15th, you only need to earn enough for the remaining half a month, if you sign up on the 29th, you only need to earn enough for the remaining 1 or 2 days.

And if you read a little further:
Quote:
Before you can apply for hosting, you need to have a minimum amount of PBPP, and forum posts. The more PBPP you get, the more hosting options will open up for you. Why? This is just your way of saying "i'm active enough on this forum to deserve a better hosting account".

So what are those minimums anyway?
The plan access minimums are as follows:

  • 400 PBPP to apply for the L2Play Plan
  • 650 PBPP to apply for the L2Post Plan
  • 900 PBPP to apply for the L2Present Plan
  • 1500 PBPP to apply for the L2Publish Plan
  • 3000 PBPP to apply for the L2Power Plan

Also, you need a certain minimum number of posts (not points) altogether. Currently, that number is 15, although it may change.
These points are not deducted, it's just a minimum amount you need to have to access the plan
Note, once again, you'll always find the most up-to-date information on the plans available here.

It's in the same article you have been reading, but you have to make sure you read it completely. Wink

By the way, if you quote something, put quote tags around it like this:
Code:
[quote]Something you didn't write yourself.[/quote]

Can you get it for just two or three days?

I suppose so, but it takes several days to be activated and requires far more PBPP than you currently have.

L2P is not a quick hosting account that allows you to host something for several days and then cancel it. That isn't what we do.

I suggest searching at freewebspace.net for a more appropriate provider if those are your requirements.

We allow all supported scripts that are legally licensed from their authors be it an OSI approved license or a commercial script.

Note: We confirm all vBulletin licenses through Jelsoft (and other commercial script licenses with their authors where appropriate) if they are installed here. If we find you have an illegal copy installed onto the service then your account will be terminated and you will be banned from the forum.

Heh. Laughing Not to say this hosting is bad or anything but this is not for me. I download VBulletin via bittorent and i was looking for a place to upload it.

I might move my site here though.

Ill just have to use my download server then. Thanks anyway ^_^. Ill probably gradually build up posts and get a hosting.

I doubt you'll find any host that will knowingly allow you to upload that script. Rolling Eyes

You shouldn't say you downloaded it illegally. Most hosts wouldn't even know, but now they might.

Some hosts might allow. I have seen a host that allows. Wink

Lucky for me I don't need vBulletin, and I don't have to download an illegal copy of it. Very Happy

There are so many free, or almost free, scripts, why bothering that illegal ones?

The site scripts, free one, I am using here is not the latest one, but it works fine. It fits what I want and it is the best for me.

And for Kurosaki Ichigo, keep posting. 400 Pbpp is not far ahead. Good luck. Smile
