I have seen the trailer for Raven Symone's new movie "College Road Trip" everywhere...it's coming out this Friday and I think it is gonna be so cute.
I loved Raven's show on the Disney channel and I think her pairing up with Martin Lawrence is going to be funny!
Any thoughts? |

College Road Trip looks a bit dumb to me. Raven was good on the Cosby Show, and on That's So Raven. However this looks like a poor movie role for her.
I personally feel Raven needs to start doing more grown up roles. She is in her 20's and is still stuck doing dumb comedy movies, as well as made-for-television movies. It worked for a while, but I think it's time she moves on to other things. If this movie bombs (which I somehow think it will), maybe that will wake her up. _________________ http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Main_Page

I actually saw this movie and really didn't think it was that bad. I'm not big on the idea of what the movie was based around, but I've thought that Raven has actually been doing really good parts. She was good on the Cosby show and decent on that's so Raven and that's when I honestly decided to give it a chance. I think Martin in a great actor so I figured with the mix, the two would make a hilarious duo.
It really wasn't the best storyline, but I would say that the two did a great job putting together a good movie. They were funny, some moments I didn't laugh at because it was little humor. Martin in this movie has the ability to make anyone laugh, but I really think this movie is just based off little kids and their parents. The whole thing about letting go and that's what I think the movie was based towards, the parents having their children leave and getting used to the feeling when they've been so in love with them for so long.
It was more of a drama movie then a total full out comedy, but I actually thought it was funny and not bad. Not the best movie I've seen in a while, but it was okay. |
