What about not giving the PBPP while editing a post that was written one hour ago?

I think thats the best idea. you could still edit posts like normal, but after the hour not get anything for them

I also believe that idea is a lot better. That makes it easier to edit your own posts without making cheating possible.

What's the difference from giving and not giving PBPP?

When you edit your post to contain your normal post, the former post's PBPP will get deducted, and you get back the normal post's PBPP.

Still the same, right?

Let me put it simply:

I copy and pasted something to my post. I submitted it. I get 55 PBPP.

I then edit it then let it contain my normal post, which I get 2 PBPP.

But when you edit it, 55 PBPP is deducted and you get 2 PBPP. Still the same, right?

If you just read the link Clickfanatic posted Silly It was possible to cheat with older posts, by adding things to them, the topics wouldn't come up in front of the others, so the moderators probably wouldn't see that.

So if Lifeless would start allowing edits after the 60 minute period, it would be a better idea to turn the point-giving off.

Well I think overall the topic not showing up at the top of the list is the problem. Maybe it could be done with some modifications, but I am not sure.

And maybe edits should come with reasons like in vBulletin.
