I keep getting emails through one of the email accounts on here. The emails are very similar, even though they come from different email addresses

They're all in another language, and some have attachments

Is their anyway of stopping these?

This is an example of one
Quote:
Здравствуйте.

Новые, яркие комплекты постельного белья на www.pos-tel.ru.
Раскрась ночь!

Most are a lot longer.

I dont really want to change email address

The main source of spam will always be spam bots crawling pages for email addresses.

Check if your email address has been posted anywhere, and try to post it in a way it can never be automatically indexed by bots.

For example, instead of "contact@yourdomain.com", you can post it as "contact [at] yourdomain [dot] com".

This may not stop the current spammers from spamming you again, but it can prevent further spam bots from getting your email address.

What do you mean that 'the email accounts on here'? Do you mean one account's email form llp?

Most of the email services have spam filter, how about reset the ban rules and that might help.

yeah, its one of the email accounts that i created on here. I have no idea how they got the email address since i have never given the email address out, and i only use contact forms and mail() on my site so they couldn't have gotten it from there

If you know what you're doing you can very easily grab all the virtual host names and the e-mail accounts under them with a little shell script.

Perhaps Unix's greatest strength is its openness but in the face of those idiots determined on perpetrating some nefarious scheme, like SPAMing, that openness is a great weakness.

There are ways to add more restrictions but it will also come at the cost of less freedom.
