I do wonder why you all really care if someone wears clothes that make them look like a pumpkin, or why you give a damn if they rubber bands and such as "jewelry."

I really don't see the point in getting up in arms and making stupid posts on the internet about how you don't agree. If you think that it's a bad choice, don't make it, but shut the **** up and mind your own business.

Also, Jared, bad comparison, but I know what you mean.

Oh, and anyone who says they can't pick the color of their skin is clearly wrong. You may want to look at a specific popular artist who will remain unnamed. Silly

So yeah, bitch at me if you want, I know you prolly will since you don't have a problems with bitching about random people you don't even know anyways.

Oh, and this is for you Linux.

Moose: Alright, I concede to that, but only due to recent-ish developments. Michael Jackson is an example I guess Very Happy

But what I meant is that you can't choose your skin color at birth. You can't choose to pop out black, white, yellow, orange, blue, whatever. Wink

But anyways, in the vein of 1337 5p34k:
1 |0v3 4 600d 4r6um3n7. 4nd |1nuxd0c70r h45 y37 70 4ddr355 my p057.

I think its funny that you try and have a logical debate with linuxdoctor, especially since he has stated multiple times that he only stirs up controversy for the PBPP. He baits you guys in real well, which is just as good for me to net some more of those good points myself Wink

Agreed. Also, I was kidding about the skin color. I completely understand. Silly

I don't like getting into posts like this because either the starter isn't logical, or the posters who follow are sheep and just go along with it, or because ignorance is just plain abundant. But either way, it sure is funny to try and have a debate with Linux. Silly Well, then again, let me rephrase that. It is funny to have a debate with anyone who has a thick skull and thinks their opinions and views are best and perfect. Those are the types who really get the fire stoking. Silly

I agree.

Moose, if you don't like the topic: why even post in it? Do you need the points or what? Also, acting rude and swearing (and even the censored swears) is just disruptive.

Oh, shucks, you've spoiled it. In any case, I think it's pretty funny too. And M0ose was being sucked in really well, wasn't he! For instance, when he says:

M0ose wrote:

I could have responded with, "Well, one could always say that if you have an opinion different from someone else, especially an Infallible Persona such as myself, you should stop making stupid posts on the internet about how stupid the posts are and shut the, uhmmm, insert some bad word here, up!"

Later, M0ose still doesn't get it when he whines:

M0ose wrote:

I've always thought that was point, myself. Well, that and getting the points (pun intended). Unlike some people, or even most people, I don't take myself seriously and enjoy people who do make a fool of themselves trying to make sense of the deliberate nonsense I often post. You humans are just too funny. Razz

Well, he only partially gets it. I don't think that my opinions are "best and perfect" they really are! Wink And yes, I certainly do stoke those points. Only a few more to go for this month. In fact, this post should put me over the top.

I could have said all of that, but you spoiled it for me. However, you notice that it doesn't stop me from making PBPP. Wink

I totally agree with you about the putting videos on the Facebook and other places of people doing drugs and doing underage drinking because that is such a silly, foolish notion that does not do anything, but create problems for the person and those around them. I can honestly say that more often than not I have seen people who do put those kind of videos up on their site wind up not only showing off what a complete and utter pinhead they can be when they are stoned or drunk, but they have actually lost their jobs because of things like that. I knew one person who had a full time, good paying job working in a doctor's office and when she started going around talking with another teen who had interned in the office, the other people on staff noticed that they were playing around with those sites on company time using the office computers, so naturally when someone checked it out later, they saw all those videos of the employee smoking marijuana and doing other things to get high and although they gave another reason for terminating the employment the fact to the matter was that it was very clear down the road that was why the woman was fired from her job. It seems silly to me.

Another fad that I dislike although I am not sure it is a fad is when people hear a song and then later see the video, usually it is some kind of rap or hip hop song and in the song the musical artist is trying to push their new, innovative, big dance to go with the song to push the popularity. Then a few people see it and even if it really is not anything really other than a simple hand movement or dance, a few weeks later you see everyone around you making reference to how great the song and the dance are and they continue to do it in the halls of school and they look at you like you are the person who clearly does not have a clue because you are not part of the masses who have adopted the new song and dance as a way of life. That trend bugs me big time.

Sorry linuxdoctor, but regarding your ego and general opinion of yourself:

[img:1aea4ac21b]http://theburningbiscuit.com/Pictures%20for%20site/Demotivational%20Posters/Unique.jpeg[/img:1aea4ac21b]

Alright, that was just for laughs Wink But this topic derailed faster than a Chicago subway.

Fads I hate:

Drinking. Especially under age drinking. Here on the campus it has basically become a badge of honor to drink, and it disgusts me. I honestly don't see what is so "cool" or "amazing" about it, and yet I have a real hard time finding somebody who doesn't drink. Most of the people I know who drink say they feel like crap morning after, and yet say it was worth it. What was worth it? Well they can't exactly remember the night before...

And when you get older and more responsible (presumably), why would you drink? Is it for the buzz? I could get the same thing from a jumbo pack of skittles. It just seems a real irresponsible thing to do, especially considering the way it messes with your judgement.

Edit: I didn't see coralvalley's response before posting this (I had the reply page open that long, was talking to a friend on IM and forgot about this Surprised), and I see that we kind of posted on the same thing. Don't drink and especially don't post it on youtube/facebook Silly

I like that quote. Very National Socialist. As for the topic being derailed --- I didn't do that! Laughing

This is preciesely the kind of thing I'm talking about. It's the classic application of Peer Pressure. It's the attitude that "I am cool and if you don't look and act like me there must be something wrong with you." Now, don't get me wrong. There's nothing wrong with being cool, unless being cool means killing yourself and others off. By the same token there is nothing wrong with not being cool either. It's the attitude that if you do not conform to my standards there must be something wrong with you that is sickening.

As usual, I am right and if you disagree with me there is obviously something wrong with you.

I drink, sometimes a lot which completely unhealthy and irresponsible but can be pretty fun (with the right combination of people and surroundings - i didn't drink at all for years because I hated where I was living and the kinds of people I'd meet when I went out). Its just one of those things (young) people do. Hangovers aren't that bad to be honest. Get hydrated (before sleeping ideally), well slept and eat a lot of good (Vegemite toast makes for a great post drinking breakfast) food and you are fine.

Other times just a beer whilst meeting a friend or a glass of wine with dinner. In this case its just a relaxation thing, good food, good wine and good company on a sunday afternoon in the park is pretty much ideal. And no I don't need alcohol to relax, its just an enjoyable thing.

p.s. Skittles don't get you buzzed like being drunk.

I wonder how hard of a time they must have had in the 80's then, when almost everyone and their dog wore neon and fluorescent colours.

Fluoros were more an early 90s fashion.

Really? Oh, wow.. Well I was born in the very late 80s so I guess the fad had already started by around the time that I could start remembering. haha.

I don't know how you can complain about a color being worn, some people just like the color. Those neon orange inmate jackets, i found with some friends are nice and they keep you warm so what if i stick out and get some stares because my jacket was for prisoners, its warm and keeps me from freezing, it serves its purpose

Haha yeah, I was only a youngster but I'm old enough to remember (and be embarrassed about how I thought they were cool) now.

I must say I'm not a fan of the recent flourescent revival going on in certain circles! Particularly the ones I often get about in, but thankfully I'm not that "fashionable"...
