I'm having a strange problem with firefox on two separate machines. Both machines have the same problem

Sometimes firefox won't let me log into sites until i've deleted the cookies for that particular site

some sites i'm having trouble with
http://forums.midnighttempest.com/
http://www.neopets.com
http://www.sailormoonfansubs.com
https://www.google.com

Both machines are running Firefox 3.0.10

I never had this problem with Firefox 2 when i was using it

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling

Anyone any ideas?

What do you mean by "won't let me log into sites"?

As in, after you log in you are still logged out?

On the Midnight Tempest Forums and Sailor Moon Fansubs, i get the thank you for logging in message and shown as being logged in, then after the redirect to the index page i'm logged out

Neopets and Google i get redirected to the login page every time

You should ask about it in the firefox irc channel. If I'm not mistaken this issue occurs often on certain versions of firefox.

I don't know if it applies to you but for phpBB forums the "www" in the address do make a difference when logging in.

If a forum is configured as www.yourdomain.com and you login at yourdomain.com (without the "www") you will be redirected to www.yourdomain.com logged out (it redirects you there because you configure it to be that address).

That is what I encountered with another phpBB forum just a while ago.
