The site I was using for IRC was banned (for no apparent reason), so I need a new one.

Can anyone suggest some good free ones? I would prefer ones that are browser-based, and not downloads.

If what you say is what I think, use Chatzilla.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/16

That is, if you are asking about connecting and chatting on IRC servers through the web and not an actual client.

I think he was looking for a site with a Java applet embedded or something like that with which to access IRC.

With Chatzilla he still has to download something, which he didn't want to do.

True. I didn't think about the fact he could be hiding the activity from prying eyes. I just figured they didn't want to download an actual client.

If you have your own hosting, you can try downloading PJIRC and upload it on your website.

You can also try http://www.swiftirc.net/index......lient=java.

Enter your name, and #0,0 as the channel. Once the Java client loads, click "Disconnect" and type "/server <IRC server>", like "/server irc.freenode.net".
