Full SPF support enabled! [READ]

In response to a new flood of Paypal, Ebay, and other phishing schemes coming over the internet these days I have pushed up full SPF support from the back burner.


When a domain publishes SPF records the email system now verifies those records against the email received.

For example: A phisher might send an email with a forged from header of service@paypal.com attempting to get you to enter your personal information. With this new system installed the email system will look at where the email is from and match that against information provided by Paypal.com. This means forged from headers will no longer work when domains publish SPF records.

What this means to you:

1) Your email will be considerably safer against viruses and phishing schemes now that the system attempts to verify where email actually comes from.

2) Spam levels will drop as spammers will not longer be able to forge from addresses such as aol and hotmail.

3) Lower server loads for better processing of other more important items.
