Believe it or not, wal-mart still sells the gamecube for around $99. What i'm wondering is if its even worth it?
It's been out for a long while now, but its really cheap compared to the others. But then again it might be worth it to save up a couple hundred more and just get a playstation 3 or Wii.
Does anyone here still play the gamecube? Even though walmart sells it, they only have like 5 games left, ha, which is weird.
Isn't the system kinda obsolete now?
I've never played the game cube. Last console system I owned was a n64 and playstation 1. _________________ http://www.damnidunno.com | http://www.mjhq.net | http://www.rebx.net |

problem with gamecube is that i doubt any new games will be released for it
and as you said only 5 games... that isn't strange as almost nobody will bother to buy gamecube games anymore so shops won't bother to keep them in stock or purchase extra ones
in my opinion:
don't buy the gamecube
the console might be cheap
but almost no games for it you can buy
and the games still cost alot of money _________________ ***under construction**

There is lots of games to buy for it. Many stores sell the games still, plus they are easy to find at used game stores and online. Most games are reduced, with the exception of a few. No new games are coming out, but that's not a big deal.
Here's just some of the must-buy games for it:
Animal Crossing
Eternal Darkness
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Paper Mario
Pikmin, Pikmin 2
Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil (remake of the original)
Super Smash Brothers Melee
If you're interested in many GameCube games, perhaps you should buy a Wii. It plays all GameCube games perfectly. There is plenty of great Wii games out there. However, the Wii is hard to find. |

| If your looking to get a cheap system ps2 would be your choice. You can still buy them new at gamestop for $130 and unlike gamecube you actually have some games being released on the system. Now if you are looking for a nintendo system get a wii, I believe it supports gamecube discs and for a next gen console it is cheap at $250 although i have not been able to find them in stock online anywhere that sells them individually. Gamecube is not worth buying at the moment or in the visible future unless you get it extremely cheap at a tag sale or such. |

I believe a majority of the games coming out are either shovelware, or horrible PSP ports. Sony is focused on working on Playstation 3 games for the most part. I believe the games will stop for Playstation 2 by the end of this year.

He said he could get it for $99. That's a better deal than the PlayStation 2 deal you mentioned. |

i know it's a better price but i got my gamecube for under 100$ used with a wireless controller and 10 games a few years ago. Gamecube also was never an expensive system to begin with and both of those prices were about the same before they're next gen version was released. Your most likely right about the games but ps2 still has a enormous number of good games for it while i never viewed gamecube having anywhere close to that number. |
