I'm not one to slate gayness, no matter how Catholic I am. Infact, I'd gladly promote the lesbian way of life if any volunteers would like to give me a hand with that. Yesterday, Gaywheels.com announced its researched list of the Top 10 Gayest cars of 2007. As expected the MX-5 or 'hairdresser coupe' is right at up near the top end of the list. But honestly, if you actually own a Yaris how wierd must you feel now. Expect used cars dealerships to get an huge influx of Yariseseses (Yari?) in the coming days.

Gaywheels.com, the sole source of information specifically targeted to and about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) car-shoppers, today announced its list of the Top 10 Most-Researched Vehicles during the second quarter of 2007. For the fourth straight quarter, the entry-level Toyota Yaris maintained the top position, while for the first time ever, a Nissan product, the Infiniti-branded FX sport-utility vehicle, joined the list.

Agree with most of them, wasn't so sure about the Camry probably with the older models in mind but a quick look at the latest model says otherwise!

Anyway, nice find, although I can't help but question what you were doing on that site :p

The commentary to the article says that gays like to spend money and to spend it well. That's because we have plenty of it and can spend it on the most important thing: ourselves! Most of us don't have stupid nagging wives and little runty offspring running all about spoiling our self indulgence. If you want another word of hedonist it would be gay.

Nevertheless, I don't really understand why any particular model should be called 'gay' let alone 'gayest' car just because that's what most of us are buying. If there were to be such a thing as a Gay Car, what would it look like?

For me, "gay car" would probably look like this:

This is a metallic teal green Porsche Cayman S. List price about CDN$110,000. It has a handy condom pocket in the glove box as well as a KY-Jelly dispenser in the compartment built into the armrest dividing the two seats.

Now that's gay.

I don't reaaally think that this will have an impact on the people who own these cars, but oh well. I probably agree that the cars do look a little less masculine than some other cars, but yeah...
