So, who saw it?

The episode was a bit slower paced than in the first season, but that's probably because they cut back on the number of "main characters" they have to deal with (or at least, so far). The pace will probably pick up once more characters are introduced (or fleshed out, like the Hispanic brother and sister).

So it looks like Parkman, Mr. Bennet, and Mohinder are all working together in trying to bring The Trust down (as well as protecting the little girl).

The original Trust members are being hunted down one by one.

It's starting to look like Hiro's storybook hero may actually be himself.

And of course, our protagonist apparently survived the explosion at the end of Season 1.

What did you guys think?

Personally, I thought it was a good episode, but not great. It had a lot (perhaps a little too much) to live up to and kind of missed.

I thought it was pretty good. I mean, I watched it, enjoyed it, but wasn't blown away by it.

I hope it'll pick up a bit as it goes on, but it was always going to start a little slower after the climax of the first season.

Kinda sad that they killed off Hiro's dad.

I didn't really think about Hiro's hero being himself, but now that I do, it seems increasingly likely - I also like the idea.

Can't wait 'til next week (the first season I watched the first 12 episodes in quick succession, I want the next episode now!)

I liked the first episode too, but as you said i was expecting something a little bit better.

I think that it will be a great second season, i remember that i was not so engage with the first episode of the first one either.

I don't know about you, but i was expecting Kensei to be a fraud or someone that needed of Hiro to become the hero that it was thought to be. And after watching the episode i think the same as LP-Harvey about Hiro.

The one thing that I'm not convinced at all is the two hondurans brothers, maybe it's just me almost everytime that i hear someone speaking spanish in an english production i dislike it big time, they remind me of cheap latin soup operas (i'm not proud in saying this since i'm from south america too, but that's the way i see it)

Unlike you guys I didn't really like the first season since it was all kind of mixed up and had way too many characters some of which weren't even properly introduced.

The second season came as a sort of laid back version of the first season which allowed me to really enjoy it as it wasn't as fast paced.

Season 2 has started very well indeed, IMO maybe too many storylines and maybe too many new characters, however the comedy factor is still ever present with the character of Hiro which takes the tension off the more serious storylines such as Peter and the new villian.

Who do you guys think the new villan could be, I personally feel it could be Kensei, as we have now seen he has the same powers as Claire so is therefore imortal and could easily surrive all those years and links to Hiro's dad. All the storyline with Peter not knowing who he is, it all a bit of a hassel becuase we know what is going to happen!!

Possibly Kensei. However, invunerable does not mean immortal. So we don't know for sure it is him. Unless there is the possibility that when Hiro comes forward with the princess that Kensei follows or is *sucked along.* As it is know that she will be in both the past and present time lines. The question still remains who wiped Peter's memory and dropped him where he was found. That is the same person it seems as is killing the old ones.

I'm still hooked to it. I hope Peter turns into a uber good guy again - with heaps of superpowers and stuff =P It's interesting what has happened to Sylar. I guess it shows that he's basically entirely evil now, but he's in a bit of a pickle.

I'm open to the possibility that villain could be Hiro. Although I'd hate it if he was. But it's possible that he has a dark side - and it'd be a massive twist that noone would see coming - especially if they did it right.

I can't wait for next week. (Although there are plenty of other shows I'm watching now).

Me aswell, I cant wait until next week either! Im so confused now, what does that mark on Peter mean? is it the same one as Nikki/Jessica? Does that mean Peter is evil? It looked like it when he wanted to kill that guy! Also not sure if Hiro would be a villain I would hate that Sad All be it, it would be a major twist!! I hate the Maya and Alejandro characters they suck! .. but they are interesting in a way, a new hero is unveiled next week, its another girl YAY hehe but I wonder if there would be too many story lines for it to be a success I doubt it! Is it just me, or does everybody hate Clair for after what she 'may' do to Noah after seein the pic? Im sure there is many more twists to come Very Happy

I'm guesing you guys have had 3 episodes, because the last couple of posts talk about things I've not seen . . . .

I think it is interesting that kensai IS a hero, but does not have the powers that were attributed to him in legend, bit ironic really.

I was wondering, with Nathan Petrelli, he saw a reflection of himself, which looked like Peter but all burnt up. Anyone know what that was? was it just guilt?

Secondly, how does everyone think Sylar survived - was it beause he can turn things to liquid, possibly himself, and has managed a way to re-solidify himself? the reason i ask that is because there was a large slick of blood leading to the man hole at the end of the last season.

Most of the questions that you ask yourself pharmer4, are answered in the first 3 episodes of the second season, particularly the third one (which i have just seen, a little late, since every monday or tuesday an episode is released to download).

I don't remember the picture that Roonkat1 mentioned about Clair and Noah, but since the first episode of the second season i began to dislike increasingly Clairs character, her attitude has change, she is kinda annoying for me now.

Hiro won't be the villian. If he was we wouldn't be seeing all we see. As he has time and space manipulation. He would simply kill the people before they became powerful. Which is something that he has not realized yet. Though I think the *future* Hiro should have realized some of that. I think he just doesn't want to disruput the space/time continuim.

I do find it interesting that in the first season, Hiro goes back in time to save the waitress and finds himself unable to.

But he goes back into the past, and is able to change the destiny of his "hero" Kensai. If you remember from the first season, the lore is that Kensai did everything by himself. This time around, he has an "aide."

Defeats the notion that he can't change history somewhat.

But it's possible that the 'aide' was just never mentioned in the history books. We note that Hiro didn't manage to save the waitress (was her name Charlie?), but the end result was still the same - even though it happened in a different way than first described (I think).

regarding hiro affecting the past, it may also be an advancement of his powers, or as mentioned, he could have always been there, but never mentioned (who mentions the aides of any famous military leader in history?)

The second season is going in a direction that I like. I thought it was cool that Hiro appears to be his own hero. Another cool thing I picked up one Micha's grandmother is Lt Uhura. Another Star Trek appearance.

I recently bought the boxset for the first season as well as a heap of other shows. Hopefully by the time the second season is finished I can sit down and watch the first season then re-watch the second and pick up on the little bits I have missed.
