Nichelle in Hero's is cool - I guess the writers are big Star Trek Fans. If Patrick Stewart gets a geurnsy, I'll be happy.
I like the direction they are going in - in season 1, a lot of the people were very worried about their powers, and some did not even want them, because they did not like beng different or standing out. Now, in this one, since they may lose their powers, many are coming to realise their true potential. ie Nicki going to the company is very interesting.
I think Peter in Ireland is a way to remove a massively powerful character from the mix until later in the season. It would be a big problem if he was at full power right from the start, because then you have an issue with the need to escelate everything, otherwise, Peter could just solve or fix everything with little effort.
It begs the question, though - who has the power to get him out of the picture, knowing how much of a liability etc he could be, but was still unwilling to know him off (sure he is invulnerable, but leave something embedded in his skull, and he is neutralised.
Eggman, I am interested to know whether the online comics have been included in the DVD set. _________________ For Metal and Rock interviews and reviews, go to www.heavymetalnation.com - You can Contribute too if you want!

| No Pharmer unfortunately the online comics have not been included in the boxset. A little off topic but when I bought the Battlestar Galactica Boxsets at the same time I was hoping they would have had the in between webisodes on them but they did not. Pity. |

Heroes is opening up in a very interesting way.
Obviously Sylar's ability to take powers is not associated with his powers (He obviously has the virus that prevents people using their powers) - when he killed the girl who can create illusions, he was still able to do his thing, but then could not use them . . .
Did anyone notice that the car sylar ended up in, in mexico, with the twins, was the car stolen from Claire?? I like all those interconnections.
It is also interesting that Matt (telepathic cop) has a father who not only has power, and is not only part of the "company", but is also the man that molly does not want to find.
Here are a few thoughts - what would happen with Sylar if he absorbed the same power twice? It has become apparent that some people have the same powers (most notably, claire's father Nathan Petrelli, and claire's new boyfriend)
Also, the painting of Claire's adopted father (horn-rimmed glasses) being dead - it is interesting, but obviously it can be prevented if Hiro or someone similar can help it, because the nuclear explosion did not happen . . . _________________ For Metal and Rock interviews and reviews, go to www.heavymetalnation.com - You can Contribute too if you want!

This is phenomenal programming.
It's all opening up now that we have an indication of what the Heroes are up against.
About the stolen car, thats actually a very good spot, my mate said the same while we were watching.
Overall there is something that is connecting all the Heroes, but what...... |

Well... it's not in the middle.
The second season is over due to the writers' strike.
Third season starts when they actually write new episodes. NBC has said the third season will likely be around 25 episodes, which is an uptick from a normal season, but it still means 5 episodes will be missing from the series (not to mention the mini-series that has now been canceled because of the strike). |

No, it is true.
It's true with most television shows. It's been quoted on just about every television related site. The second season is OVER. They only filmed 12 episodes total. That's why their was supposed to be a mid-season hiatus.
The way TV is filmed today is that you film half a season, then look at the ratings. If the ratings are good, the parent company (NBC) gives you the okay to film the second half of the season. If the ratings are bad, the show is canceled.
In the case of Heroes... they just don't have anymore episodes.
Same goes for NBC's other properties like Chuck and 30 Rock.
The writers' strike ended many seasons. Luckily for Heroes, NBC already bought a third season about a year ago. |

| However, I think you all still might be mistaken, to some degree. Just because they are not filmed and in the *can*, so to speak, does not mean that those scripts have not been written. All it then takes is filming the scenes as no new writing is needed. I also remember when the mid-season break episode finished they did advertise that it will be coming back again in january. I could be mistaken but I think they will have episodes after the first of the year. I think the strike is effecting new shows like chuck because of it being a first season. Sorta like it is effecting live shows like Jay Leno and David Lettermen. They need new material nightly. |

But I am not mistaken.
It was very clearly noted that the episodes were not written.
This is a tactic used by producers and networks to save money. Why pay a writer for 25 episodes when you can pay for 13 at a time. If the show tanks mid-season, you don't have to pay the writer for the final 12.
The episodes are not written. THERE IS NO MATERIAL. |
