Hi, I don't want to sound a bit impatient here but I have been waiting for my hosting plan to get approved for 2 days short of weeks now but I realise that it is the holiday season so I am wondering if anyone know delay is normal for this time of the year.

I opened my subdomain hosting request on Thursday, December 21. It was one of those l2p.net domains so I thought it shouldn't take long. It says that if you don't get approved after 5 to 7 days you should contact lifelesspeople to verify tbat your application is received. I kind of didn't see this contact part at the time so I opened a support ticket. Oh well.

The support ticket was opened on 28 Dec 2006 05:33 PM but it is still open at the moment.

I read one of the posts here and someone said that it can take to 2 weeks to activate the hosting if there is a delay. I know it havn't been two weeks yet but I am getting impatient here because I am kind of in serious water here if I don't get my website up soon. I offered my school to host a huge history project on my website. I have been getting entires in my emails daily and these students all demand to see the website. I have been using different excuses to put them off but I fear there is going to be a riot soon if I don't show them the site soon so they can verify that their project is on the site.

School is going to reopen soon and I fear that my hosting application will still not be approved then. Then it will be really embrassing for me cause I said I would do it but I don't have the website. Everyone will be really pissed off and especially the teacher. I will become the scapegoat then..

So uh, I am just wondering if delay is normal this time of the year. I don't want to sound ungrateful. Thanks.

Well, it seems Trel (the admin Wink) is really busy at the moment.

Ah, I see. Do you know if he can approve web hosting sometime before this Sunday? If not I have to look for a Plan B fast or I will be in deep trouble. Thanks.

You relied on a free host for something important? That might be okay for us who know the reliability of this host but for someone new... Smile

I guess you can put a support ticket up with high priority and state your reason in more detail to help.

Give it a few more days. Usually things like that don't take long, but it uppears that Trel is missing in action, and he's the only one who does these things.

He probably had a look at the Hosting Page, and saw that all of the plans have a 99.99% recorded network uptime. That seems pretty reliable to me.

Perhaps they should add that Lifeless People have been operating for 5 years already...

5 years of providing free hosting is not easy... Wink
