OK, this is the new website to my online game
http://darknesswithin.com.ru/

I want to know what people think about the colours and overal layout.
And also anything else that could be improved.
The only part that isn't done at all is the History page, and the classes page is half complete.

The classes page will give a full description about the class, advantages and disadvantages.
The History will give complete history from the whole world, and the different cities.

These theme colours for Darkness Within are red and black, so i tried to keep that in the website colour, although i have a feeling that the background is more pink than red.

Looks ok. basic, but its coming along since when I last saw it. I like the screen shots of your game! Looks really good! You could have a favicon for your site. Maybe changing some of the font sizes, as they are all the same at the moment, also when you click on the screen shot, the 'NEW' picture should disappear? That would be a good feature. When you make the items and monsters, pull them from a database, and make it in alphabetical order. I think that you could be a bit more creative with the colours, as it is only one colour at the moment, but so far it looks like its coming along nicely Smile

OK, well i've got part of the database monsters set up. They are all in the database, and you can view them by first letter of name.

I'm working on a search for it, but that will come after items etc proably

I like the idea of searching by there first letter of there name, but what about if you have the choice to do that, so that you have the ability to do that, but also make it display them all on the letter page if you get what I mean? So then you can look at all of them without clicking on each of there names Smile

all 4 of the databases have an all option.
I'm thinking of adding more options to the search, like drops but i am unsure as to how i would go about that. I'll have to have a look tomorrow.

I'm thinking of doing something like a drop down box that lists what you can search by, and a search box to type the text in, but am unsure how i would structure the mysql query to include what's chosen in the drop down box

oooh, this looks good. Is there any way to play it yet, or is it still in initial testing stages?

I'll probably definatly try that when it coms out.

On the screenshots page, i suggest you split the screenshots up into smaller lots, or put them oldest to newest as at the moment theres a lot there, and you have to scroll through them to the end to get to the newest ones.

I like the maps page. Does that give people samples of what the map is going to eventually look like, as i can see the tramdol map looks quite a lot different in the screenshots as in the maps page

Basically the maps page shows the basic map.
Before i start to make the map, i design it on paper, then make the basic shape/outline in photoshop. That way i know exactly what is going where. I then actually make the map

The site is down at the moment... Did you stop making your game or are you still developing it?

Hmm, personally I don't like the template one bit. But that's personal, I just don't like the pink and think the banner could be much better.

The layout looks fine though. I like how when you roll over a link in the navigation panel a background appears behind it.

Honestly, I think it's a good idea. And I wish you the best with it! Just get a better template and I'll be happy Very Happy

The layout colours etc are designed by our members

What template are you on about?

At first i thought you meant layout, but then you said the layout is fine, so i'm completely confused

At the moment, the Darkness Within link actually redirects to Midnight Tempest
