I don't play many MMORPGs, but I did notice that Maple Story was not on the list.
EDIT-- I just looked at the Pirate King Online's system requirements: 2.4GMHz. ****, I'm not aware of any computer that even has a 1 giga-mega hertz processor! They should have designed the game for a real processor speed than making up a number.

You don't get it, do you? There is no such thing as a giga-mega hertz. It goes mega hertz (MHz, which is 1000000 hertz), and then giga hertz (GHz, which is 1000000000 hertz). There is no GMHz.

I used to play these multi wotsits a very long time ago, I might start again, and to hell with all the addiction scares. I also have voices in my head, and negative + negative = positive. >.>

Gate To Heavens apparently doesn't exist anymore. I was intrigued by that description of it, but the webpage didn't load. So I searched around for it and found a page that said Gate To Heavens is no longer supported (which I took to mean doesn't exist anymore).

god i played so many of those mmo's and other free mmo's who aren't even on that list
best free mmo's in my opinion
kal online (bit easy...)
silkroad online (asian + euro version) (prepare to grind! but pretty darn fun)
cabal online (looks great, nice combat system)

You could add Perfect World, the Chinese version has millions of players and now they've released the english version. It also has a lot of grinding but the cover it up by giving you a lot of quests so you level up a bit faster by finishing them. It has 3 races and each race has 2 classes and a bunch of weapons and skills. A fun detail about Perfect World is that you can personalize a lot about your character (face, nose, eyebrows, etc...) so not everyone looks the same 
I've been playing this game for 2 - 3 days now and I've reached level 16. The game hasn't bored me yet so maybe you people should try it out  .
