I posted a topic about my cms problem days before, and I have been trying to install new CMS's to my site for my Discuz!2.5, a quite old version of free forum, but I have never got it done right. This is really driving my crazy.

I don't know what's wrong with my old cms. I tried to reinstall it, but got 500 errors, again and again. Like this

Quote:
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I tried more CMS's that seemed to support my forum, but still no good news. The installation was smooth and got no warning, but after that, nothing could work, only blank page there, even the error page was not shown up.

Hours ago, I installed one cms that dose not need to install to the server and dose not read the MySQL. I hoped it would be good, but I was wrong.

Here is what I get this time:
Quote:
The execution has been halted because of fatal errors.

Error Message:

The module can not initiate because it was not able to access the required file. Please make sure you have chosen the correct module, and the forum path have been correctly set.

Error No. 0: N/A

Internal server errors usually happen if a .htaccess file with an error in it is in place. Try renaming the .htaccess file to something random first if you get an internal server error. If that does solve it you'll want to build up your .htaccess file again step by step till you find the error.

I am trying to reinstall everything on the hosting right now.

Quote:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted

This is a new problem. It happens when I am restoring the forum date. what is that? I am going to lose the whole thing if the date could not be restored. Sad

What can I do now?

You get 500 Internal Server Error when you CHMOD files/folders beyond the limit set here (maximum 644 for files and 700 for folders) or with a .htaccess.
