Replace performance with value for money and Mac with non-Mac and you can write the same "satire" as you call it. There is a lot of "below par" technology out there that Macs are better than, but it doesn't take much knowledge and shopping around, maybe with some advice, to get something "at half the price" of a Mac and just as good with most aspects, looks aside. Personally, Macs look nice, but there's no uniqueness, as with most Apple products, unless you count colour. Also, similar to my earlier comment, Macs may look better than most other hardware, but you can easily find something better, and suited to your needs. Macs seem more "one size fits all".
PS. Sorry for diverging away from the humorous side of the piece |

I've been a Mac user since Apple released their first Macintosh and have been an IT manager for a company's Mac practices team. Even with all this, I still have multiple non-Apple x86 machines which are all custom built. I use Linux more often than Windows, but only because I need to use more *nix based utilities for network capabilities (such as distributed compiles, I know there is Cygwin, but I don't need a another layer for a simple process) that Windows fails to provide.
Sadly, I've actually met people who were like the satiric portrayed Logan. They do not generally have technologically backed reasons to have a negative bias against other personal computers, in fact they generally quote things from the new Mac commercials.
I don't understand why so many Mac users can't understand the beauty that the variety of machines and operating systems provide.
For example, one thing that I sincerely wish Apple would implement natively is an SSI system like MOSIX or OpenSSI. Hooking up an entire lab of Macs to properly and simply distribute rendering tasks and intense algorithms without having to boot into Linux would be wonderful, but it is offered on Linux so I use it. |

| This made me laugh. The comments by people who took it seriously were probably the funniest part though, actually. I love to join in the flame wars with people who have no facts to back their claims of operating system superiority. I use Linux and Windows about equally.. |
