I was wondering what about invision board doesnt work. I have a Prerelease trial (2.0.0 PF4) and it worked on my other host fine. Will there be a major issue in setting it up?

We are now using MySQL 5. Invision Power Board 2.0.0 will only work on MySQL 4, unless you are using the latest version.

Refer to this KB article for more information on requesting MySQL 4 database.

invision Power Board 2.1.3 and up only work on mysql 5, and its the lastest, so You will need to use this version to have invision power board running on this server, so you will need too use it or get some one to write a mod to make in work

Invision Powerboard has some compatibility issues with MySQL 5.
I would advise using an alternative (eg. Simple Machines Forum).

The last version use MySQL v.5 . Install this version, or if you want to usea previous version, tell Trel (via Private Message or in the Support Desk) to create you a MySQL v.4 database. He said that he will do that if you need it.

Well, to clarify more clearly, for requesting a MySQL 4 databases, it's still best to open a support ticket, as Trel will say the same thing if you send a PM to him. Wink
