OK, so I have updates safari to number 4.
it has a snazzy feature similar to itunes in that with your favourite sites, it will create a wall of snapshots of the sites you visit, and you just click on the one you want to go to.
I have lifeless in my favourites.
Now, since i updated to safari 4, everytime I come here and click on the link for new posts since last visit, there is only ever one thread showing.
The thing is, i was not on the net at all yesterday, so either one of two things is happening:
1) the board is slow - oh well.
2) the snapshot of lifelesspeople is live-updating, so everytime I open a new tab and the screenshots are shown, this registers here as a visit, and when i actually do come here, the link to latest posts is very short.
So, anyone know which one is the correct assumption? _________________ For Metal and Rock interviews and reviews, go to www.heavymetalnation.com - You can Contribute too if you want!

I fear it's the latter. Lifelesspeople has been loading just fine for me the past few days. _________________ Dilly dally, shilly shally. |

yar, me too.
I've avoided the snapshot views for a few days, and the list is well populated.
I'll just have to remove lifelesspeople forum from the favourites in safari _________________ For Metal and Rock interviews and reviews, go to www.heavymetalnation.com - You can Contribute too if you want!

The site has its intermittent slow load times.
If the snapshot is showing the page as it would if you were logged in, it would indeed be counting as a visit that resets the last visit, so this would cause only very recent new posts to show up. Had a look at Safari and unlike Opera or Firefox extensions for those snapshots, there doesn't seem to be an option to disable those snapshot updates on a per page basis. I don't think you have to remove the forum as a bookmark though, just removing it from the "top sites" should do (note I don't know much about Safari) _________________

Although IE8 is the best version of IE ever in my opinion, the marketing campaign page you linked to seems t be quite unfair
On topic, I think safari should have an option to disable the snapshots. However, I don't know much about it, so you should ask someone who does. _________________ My new site |

People were too critical of their previous "Get the facts" campaign so they weakened the concept a bit. Still pretty lame though if you think about it. _________________ Dilly dally, shilly shally. |

I'm experiencing huge slowness the last couple of days. The pages of this board take ages to load and sometimes I even get time-outs.
Other pages load just fine, so there seems to be a problem here.
Anyone else experiencing this too? _________________ My new site |

I'm running Safari 4 in OS X and the place seems as snappy as I could ask for, really. No hint of any slow downs... _________________ AMDG

In that case, my Firefox is less awesome than yours ;(
Strange. I'm also getting a lot of 403 errors the last couple of days.
When I wanted to quote I got this one, but the forums and topics also give errors sometimes. It seems to be a bit unpredictable

God, I love how cocky they sound considering it took them 4 years to catch up, and even now, HTML5 and CSS3 are here for other browsers. Are we going to have to wait 4 more years so we can use them?
