I actually like going to the theater to see movies. I may not like the $9 price tag, though. I'm almost reluctant to go on movie dates anymore, at least not for a first date -- $18 is a lot to waste. ($9 if I liked the movie).
As far as the disruptions go... well, I don't really have any of those problems. Most of that can be ascribed to being lucky, true, and also the times I usually see movies: either early to mid-day, or really, really late (usually the last showing). Also, if luck fails me and I'm sitting next to some lunatic texting and laughing and sipping his soda and shuffling around his popcorn, I can usually get them* to stop. Firm body language can be a good weapon.
* Yeah, singular they (or them, in this case). Sue me. _________________ If you see the fangs of the lion, don't think the lion is smiling. |

I still like going to theater for the big screen and the surround sound. But one thing I hate about theater is loud people. Sometime people talks or baby cry. It's really disturbing. The place I go to is fairly clean. They clean up after each movie. Overall, I still find it worth it to go to theater.
At home, it's not the same even if you have surround sound. Big screen isn't that cheap and it's not as big as the one in theater. _________________ Anime Fever Come and join |
