howdy.
I'm interested to find out how much anyone here would charge to create a template that I can readily use for my website that integrates a word-press style facility into my web pages.
Basically, I'd like it if people had the ability to respond to articles published on the site.
you'll need to see the site, which is www.heavymetalnation.com
I have read about wordpress integrations, which sound pretty much like what I want, but my css and php abilities are non-existent. The most important thing is that it is easy to use, and ends up looking like what i have now, but with the ability to post responses.
Any template will need to be easy to work with by me, preferrably using Dreamweaver.
If you are interested, please let me know how much you would require as payment (happy to pay in either posting points, or currency).
I'll need to see some examples of work you have done previously, and I'll need to be able to work with the template successfuly before payment is made - if it's too difficult to use, then it is useless to me, and you have not fulfilled the requirements of the task!!!
please note, I am not asking for someone to integrate the site as it is now, but rather to create a template that I can use to integrate the site as it is now.
If there are certain features that can be added in, for instance the ability of myself to delete comments if i find them spamful etc, that would be good too.
If there are any questions needed by yourselves to ask, here is the place to do it.
thanks _________________ For Metal and Rock interviews and reviews, go to www.heavymetalnation.com - You can Contribute too if you want!

I can't do the work because of a lack of time. However, I think you have to be clear about whether you want to use Wordpress (or another CMS) or if you simply want an HTML template to put your current content into.
Maybe you could try an installation of Wordpress in a sub-directory of your site to see if it has the features you need. Wordpress is rather powerful and can be used for other things than blogging, besides it has a convenient template system which I am sure several people around here are experienced with. _________________ Captain Jell-O Buster from the Future

| Another more simple option would be to install a phpBB and open a topic on there for each story/topic, and put a link in the story/topic saying "discuss this article." This way people could simply click on that link and have an open discusssion about it. Just my two cents. |

phpBB is very specifically a forum system. Using it for general website purposes is definitely going to be a hassle (managing user groups so not everyone can post new topics, dealing with anonymous replies and spam, etc.). I don't know about phpBB3, but phpBB2 is not as easy to create a template for as Wordpress for example. _________________ Captain Jell-O Buster from the Future

| True, but I think you missed my point. His current website would not have to be changed other than adding a simple link to the topic for that post. You can always use a different forum system. I am just saying that rather than just post comments by linking to a forum the readers can actually open a dialog and discuss what was in the original post. |

thanks for the ideas.
Ideally, I'd want people to be able to respond on the page, similar to blabbermouth (gah, i hate that site).

OK guys, i have downloaded a script to implement, and have uploaded it to my ftp.
I'm still having issues though.
Is there anyone who would like to have a look at it?
out of interest, here is a link to the documentation - http://www.heavymetalnation.co.....u/docu.pdf
Please let me know if you are capable of doing this, and what you want to do it.
Also, let me know what you need from me to finish the job _________________ For Metal and Rock interviews and reviews, go to www.heavymetalnation.com - You can Contribute too if you want!
