I haven't used the spell checker even once until now. I wanted to see what it looked like. I use Firefox and it seems to work fine for me.

I tried using it as a common courtesy, but it pops the javascript window at me and thats it.

Hm, surely that must be the settings in your browser and not FF or this site? Not being a native speaker of English, I always try to make the effort to run the spellchecker before submitting posts, and I never have any issues, regardless of which browser I'm using (FF, Opera or occasionally IE).

Hate to be rude but it does work with firefox. Mosts sites are firefox friendly these days Smile

The spell check is done in JS so it should work as long as you have JS enabled.
Check your settings in
Tools > Options > Web Features > JavaScript > Advanced
