MAKINGS OF A STAR

http://jimcolyer.com/@tracks/64/hifi.mp3

She packs them in every night
To watch her sing and dance
Once you've laid eyes on her
You haven't got a chance
She's got you in her spell
As she strums her guitar
She's got the Makings Of A Star

She's played in Las Vegas
Nashville and Hollywood
Everyone who's seen her
Says she's mighty good
Everyone's agreed
This girl's going far
She's got the Makings Of A Star

But I remember when this star
Was just a hometown kid
Starry-eyed and dreaming glory
Playing guitar on her bed
And I remember when she told me
She could never stop
Fame was all that really mattered
And she's get to the top

solo

So once more she's out on stage
Performing in her show
Responding to applause and people
That's what makes her go
She's a mystery to us
But she knows who we are
She's got the Makings Of A Star
She's got the Makings Of A Star
She's got the Makings Of A Star

Interesting, but I have a question, if in the song it's actually about a guy, why are the lyrics you posted about a gal?

Other than that the songs pretty cool, but I guess there's almost no point posting it here since you weren't the one who wrote it.

Here check this out :

I am the one who wrote it. The song can be about a guy or gal either one. When I wrote it, I was thinking of a young Dolly Parton.

This is an interesting one here. It seems like it's very focused and if you say it's based off Dolly Parton I guess I could see that. It's interesting and keeps you reading. Very nice work with this one here. Again, sounds like a familiar one I've read before but very decent. Nice job to the creator of it!
