I don't know if my question is silly, but I just can't seem to find an answer in the Knowledge Base. xD
Currently, I use my hosting account for techhooked.com. It doesn't use that much of bandwidth/space (I could also optimize it to make space and bandwidth usage much less), so I was wondering if the same hosting account could be used for two completely different, independent sites.
For example, can cmy hosting account be used both for techhooked.com and e.g. for adomain.com, assuming they are completely different sites? Can the files for the two of them be on different folders on the account.. or something?
Hope that was clear enough. Thanks! _________________ It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I assume you have a domain hosting account, since you own a domain hehe, and i believe all of the domain hosting plans here come with addon domains.
Addon domains lets you host completely different domains/sites within your hosting account.
For example, damnidunno.com, joshx.com, miyx.com are all hosted on my lifelesspeople account, but they appear to be two completely different sites which they are. So it is possible.
Login to your cpanel and on the middle right or whatever yo should see the domain options. Click "Manage Addon Domains" and it'll ask you to add your other domain.
It'll create a folder within your public_html directory just for this domain. And every time someone goes to your addon domain, it'll automatically goto whatever is in that folder so it works like there are two sites.
But you can still access the addon domain via the old link. Example: www.damnidunno.com/josh
I hope this is the info that you wanted. Sorry if it doesn't make sense I'm half asleep :d
Also if you upgrade to a hosting plan that allows more and more addon domains, you can host 10 or more sites if you wanted to. The max i ever used on my account was 5 or so. and No one can tell that they are addon domains either. _________________ http://www.damnidunno.com | http://www.mjhq.net | http://www.rebx.net |

Sure you can! I think I have at least 5 sites nowadays in Lifelesspeople in different folders. 1 phpbb forum (only 1 mysql database), 1 site for my father and some other mini-sites for me.
Multiple domains/sites is a good idea to share the space and get some help with PBPP points. Some months ago I hosted a friend's site. _________________ http://martin.com.uy
