Nice work!

The size is a little big for signature, do you think so?

Ok, here's a quick run down.

Image size. Try to keep them a bit smaller. Aim for the 300x100 area and work with that. You will see that smaller areas are easy to work with and leave you dead space once you figure out how to use a render correctly on that scale.

Render. I like what you did with the render. The render of course being the image add to the signature, in this case Vegeta. However, it feels like a clash with the red background. If you are going to go with a more soft feel, go with it all over. The background just seems hard where the render is soft, and until you can manage how to pull them off as one, try to stick to one type.

Text. The text is interesting. I like the outline idea, but the colors of the outline just don't go with the picture. They clash with the image a little to much. A different color would have been better, and would feel a little less rough.

General. Try to keep a theme to your sigs, and try to keep them small, because I know that on LLP that image could not be used due to size. Try to keep your text and renders blending well with the background and make sure you keep the dead space to a minimum.

Overall, it is a good first attempt and I can't wait to see how you progress.

Considering that it was your first signature I think you did a really nice job with it. I like the coloring that you did with it and while it might be a little large for a signature on certain forums I think you did a good job. I look forward to seeing what your next artwork will bring to the table. Please post more and good luck with your work in Photoshop. So far you are off to a great start from what I can see.

Very nice for a first time work! I remember the days where I used to think it was awesome to do this:
[img:d629aba2b7]http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc118/jthomsonmain/sig1.jpg[/img:d629aba2b7]
Still looks Ok, but not as good as this:
[img:d629aba2b7]http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc118/jthomsonmain/sig2.jpg[/img:d629aba2b7]
But then again, they both suck, so who am I to comment on your images?

It's a start. Try using anti-aliasing on the text, then work on colors and lighting.

Start doing tuts and never stop making sigs, even if they won't be used. Just whip out photoshop when you're bored and mess around with new features. Try to come up with some unique effects once you get the basic techniques down. You get better at sigging by practicing, studying, and experimenting. Expecially experimenting.

That's huge. I've made so many signatures for myself for no reason that it isn't even funny. If I have no reason to make one, I still try to make one. Expanding with tutorials is great too, because it shows you more of what can be done. Sometimes you'll use a tut once and will never use it again, but other times you'll use it daily. So it's always good to experiment.

Also, do what you like. Don't try to fit the form of anything other then what you want to do. That way it feels like you have reason to do the work, because it is fun. Just experiment and enjoy. Because even though sometimes you won't like what comes out, you will still learn what not to do. Silly

Its good for a first signature, but its really to big to be used in a lot of forums.

I like the effect behind the text, and the effects you did on the graphic

Good point! That image looks about the size I use for a banner on my websites (600 x 200)
