My website went down on Sunday and it's still not back up

I didn't want to make a forum post because I figured using the support page and submitting a ticket would be enough to get my site back up and running. But here I am, because after filing a ticket on Sunday under the category of "Urgent", there has still been no response as to why my website was taken offline.

Here is the contents of my ticket:

Domain: shatteredabstracts.com.ru
Server: Aseir
Hosting status: Active
Priority: Urgent

It seems that access to my website (both http and FTP) is no longer in existence even though I made my required 400 points last month. Any specific reason as to why the site is gone, and if I can get it back?

I waited and waited and there was no reply. I understand this is a free service, but I don't make 400 points worth of forum posts here for nothing. It takes time out of my day that I could be working on school related things.

I'm sorry if I'm sounding bitter but I'm sure you would understand if you were in my position. Any help would be great, preferably a response to the ticket (ID: FIL-766350).

The problem is that .***.ru domains are no longer supported on Lifelesspeople's server. They changed the ns2.lifelesspeople.com IP so, ns1.lifelesspeople.com and ns2. lifelesspeople.com are in the same net and RIPN (the Russian Institute for Public Networks) requires them on different IP nets.

What to do?

Ask Trel to give you a subdomain for your LP account and to delegate the domain on a different server (example afraid.org). Then you can redirect from Afraid (.com.ru domain) to your subdomain here.

If Trel can't delegate it on a different server you are dead.. I mean; .com.ru domains are no longer available for registration so your domain can't be used anymore (unless they open registrations... I don't think they will do it Rolling Eyes

). The domain remains 1 month not delegated before deletion.

But explain Trel the situation; I think he will consider your case =)

i have a .***.ru domain and have had it for almost 2 years now and it works fine so i dont think the problem is with that. i believe new domains cant be registered but old ones still get renewed or something like that

although there were issues last week when people's index.html files were replaced with the genetic one (i think the servers where changed).

Could Trel comment on this thread to give us a definative answer?

The problem will be resolved, but it will take time.

Currently registrations are only suspended by the RIPN.

So my domain could expire in July?
And i'd just started redoing it?

If its not fixed by then would my add-on domain still work?

Trel, is there anything that can be done about this? Like at least temporarily bring my site back online with another URL? I don't have any other domains since I didn't know this would happen. I would at least be able to access my site.

I don't know if I should be putting the effort in to getting 400 PBPP for this month if my site won't be online again.
