I'm working on a new layout for my site. I just got it to work in both FF and IE6. I need some comments on ways to make the layout better. Also if you find errors while using other browsers, please let me know.

A picky thing (the reason I'm being picky is because I really like the design as a whole and think you did a really good job).

I think your footer would look better if it were center-justified with the right column as opposed to the page.

Other than that, I really like the design.

I completely agree with that, I think that little mistake is quite irritating, but the design looks great Very Happy

Is the whole site based on that one Suzuki? If not; get a better header that goes with the site and what it's about. I couldn't read the text because it's in a different language so I really don't know what the site is about. Also, I have to scrool down for a few senetences and that could get a little annoying, I don't know if it's what the others were talking about, but that should be fixed.

The page also displays properly with Opera web browser.

Add "#" to all the links or the XHTML freaks out. Work on gradients. They don't really blend in correctly to the background behind it (Like the Image to BLACK). Give the gradient some space & time to fade.

Give the paragraphs more line-height or just make the font and the line-height bigger. One thing I've realized from living with a man that is going half blind (My father) is that small text may look good to you, but it might not be good to the average user.

On the sidebar, do not change the color of the border on mouseover. It looks odd to only have the bottom change. Change the font color and/or background color. On the h1's, the green comes out of no where. It's not a big deal, but maybe go a little more with the color of the car. A faded blue, or a nice brown/tan would do it.

Overall it is a very good layout, but everything can use improvement.

It looks professional until you look at the sidebar and see that you've written "photo's." Why can't people use apostrophes properly? What is wrong with the education system? If you want to make something plural, put an S at the end. If you put in an apostrophe, it's possessive - for example, "Those are AK-87's photos" would be correct. The only thing that irks me more than people misusing apostrophes is people using the wrong homonym of "your" and "there."

It looks identical in Safari.

Done. I agree, it looks better.

75% of the content will be about Suzuki, that's why I picked that image as a header. And the content is just Lorum Ipsum filler content, just to see how it looks with content. The actual content still has to be written.

Done, I didn't know that one.

I liked my gradient. Sad Silly I'll keep it in mind next time, I'm too lazy to change it now.

This is a really good suggestion, but I tried biiger fonts and they all look ugly. Besides, if someone has trouble reading it they can always set their browser to display a bigger font. I might add a button to change font size.

I like my mouseovers. Silly And the green is because I've always liked the combination green-black. And it draws people's attention.

Oooops, obviously English isn't my native language. Fixed.

Thanks for all the feedback! Keep them comments coming! Mr. Green

Just like Logan pointed out, the background image abruptly fades to black... it looks a bit weird to me. The image itself is really cool though. Smile
The font size could be a little bit bigger. It is really frustrating to read text of which the letter's pixels can be counted on two hands. Changing font-size from 11px to 13px could be a huge improvement. Wink

Okay, the font is now set to 13px. I think it doesn't look as pretty as 11px, but it's acceptable.

It's looking good in Opera 9.10. The only thing I can really suggest is a suggestion that has already been stated: the gradient going to the black should be more gradual. Also, the "Hosting" link takes us to a page that has a listing of different hosting solutions. I think that it should be broken up with visible table lines to avoid confusion. Oh, and also there seems to be an error on the Photo page to do with the date of the images. The views and date squish together "0 viewsJan 13, 2007". But I am guessing the last two things I stated are because those pages are currently under development.

Maybe missing a br tag or something.

Yup yup, as everyone else stated, the header needs a much more gradual fade than the current abrupt ending to a pretty picture.

I could like it if you fixed that. It's darn nice but if the content goes down you'll find that the pretty has disappeared because it's only in the header. In other worlds, scroll down and you just have text in gray boxes.

I like it but for a personal webpage it´s too comercial, I mean, that van makes the site look like a car brand site... maybe you can change that, there are a lot of good stock photos...

The rest is really cool, I like the hover effect on the menu and the size of the font it´s ok, maybe 1px bigger but not more than that...

See ya,

Raymon

Did you move the layout to your main website now?! There appears to be a 404 error.

Yeah, what's with the car at http://ak-87.com/ ? Very weird. Might as well put a banana there, too. lol
