What do you all think of my new logo?

[img:e087cd92f8]http://www.scarmarker.com/logo.gif[/img:e087cd92f8]

I made it for my personal site thingie at www.scarmarker.com

im unsure, sometimes it looks cool, but other times im unsure about it. I think i may have put too much blackness in the background. I could might do without some of it, but then again the blackness adds some little cool effect to it, i don't know

What do you think of it?

It's ounces of pretty. Ounces and ounces!

And look, here's a bigger one!

It's so liquid like magma. Crushing river flowing, encased in lettering, grand color scheme growing.

The bigger one looks weird because you can see little glows but on the smaller one you can barely see the glows so it looks pretty great.

Do you mean the white background? its a transparent gif image so it shows part of the white background on the edges.

Thanks for the comment Silly

Oh yeah ,i did add a small glow effect to the red letters which is actually black glow, but i thought it made it look a bit better. is that the glow you were talking about? Or the white edges?

Shocked

Best use of .gif transparency I've seen in a long time! No jaggies! And a great color scheme without wasting colors to increase the file-size.

Only problem I can pick out is the white outline for a few pixels around the image. It prevents it from blending perfectly. Then agian, it might help it stand out better against some backgrounds.

I like. Is that .gif that I'm seeing? Wow, amazing work. Going in there at 1600% in Photoshop really helps huh? It's a great logo for your site. The only thing I don't like is the cheaply-made frame on your website header that the logo is sitting on. In contrast with the logo (and the rest of the layout) it's too embossed and complex.

That's just a matter of choosing the right matte when exporting the GIF. This mimics alpha-transparency on a give colour. Wink

Scar, your new logo is quite pretty. It's shocking red, but it looks good.
You got a new name, too(, again!)?

I actually didnt do much with the gif. I think its the style i added to the layers to give them a glow on the edges which you cant see to well, that maked them more clean looking.

After that i just used the default gif exporting opion Silly

yeah that seyeko name was lame. I regretted changing it to that soon after. I hated everytime i had to post under that name.
SO since i flip flop on screen names.. i decided just to use my own name. ha

It actually looks really nice, but I do have the feeling it would look a little bit better with less details.

I like it. What font did you use?

Anyways, although I can't see the site right now (it says pickles Laughing wonder why) looking at this logo, it seems to me that your website should be pretty well designed too. It looks good.

Cant see the site so i cant comment on what it looks like in use, but from the one above it looks really good.

The only bit i dont really like is the white glow around the image, it looks off, but it may look alright on the website, could just be the background colour of the forum making it look odd
