Saw a poster for it at the theatre last night...looks like they're doing the 3D version in theatres again. We got out of work early last year and went to it on Halloween afternoon in a group. Hopefully I can do the same thing this year, seems like that would be a cool tradition.

I think that they did the 3d Version last year because Marilyn Manson did an amazing version of "This is halloween" and he was performing it last halloween. I love that song and the movie is awesome.

But, i believe this happen last year. I havent seen it though.

The MP3 I have for the Marilyn Manson version says its from the 3d one, so i dunno. I could be wrong.

I personally don't like 3d movies. They dont seem to work for me and the glasses are weird. They just bother my eyes.

Yeah, they definitely did it in 3D last year and it looks like they're doing it again this year. I'm not necessarily a 3D movie lover either but I thought it worked awesome with NBC.

I saw a commercial for it, but I feel it's just a bastardized version of the original (kinda like the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory).

I don't think the 3d looks as good as the models anyways.

But, She Wants Revenge has a song on the new movies soundtrack (Kidnap the Sandy Claws), and it's pretty good... so, that's the only good thing about the remake.

I only saw the original once, but I will say that my sister loves that movie. If they end up doing a new 3D version I am sure she would love to be there up front and center enjoying it. Thanks for sharing the news with us.

I didn't even know there is a 3D version of The Nightmare Before Christmas. I loved the original, don't know about the 3D version. In my opinion part of what made to movie fun to watch is the fact that they use those weird dolls ^^ (or whatever they used Very Happy )

I don't know anyone could say they don't like the 3D version without seeing it. They did a really good job with it and everyone in the theatre I was at seemed to love it as well.

I've been seeing the previews for this lately.

It says its in "Disney Digital 3d" or something like that. Was does that mean? Does that mean you have to wear those annoying blue and red glasses or is it some other type thing?

I'm sure that's not what it means. I don't even remember the last movie that came out where you had to wear those red and blue glasses. They are really terrible for people who actually wear glasses...

Disney Digital 3d is probably just 3d animation. Although, they could have probably just said animated because I don't believe any US movie companies produce 2d animated movies any more (even though they can look so much more beatiful than 3d animated movies).

I'm a huge fan of the movie, but I doubt I would see a 3D version of it. 3D movies are just a dead gimmick in my view, why even bother with it?

I agree, it is pointless, but they seem to make money off of it, I'm going to stick with the original though.

I love the marilyn Manson version of the song Very Happy the original one on the movie is...cute though :] with the different voices.

Have you seen the Simpsons movie lateley? Wink that's 2D, even though they did use some 3D in some scenes (which was too bad in my opinion, the Simpsons should always be in 2D!).

I loved watching The Nightmare Before Christmas when I was little, I have the VHS and DVD of it now, I never did get a chance to see the new Disney 3D version in the theatres.

I have the Soundtrack too, and usually play it during the Halloween season. The Marilyn Manson song is really awesome. Smile

It was only 2D because the television series it is based off is 2D. When was the last time an original 2D animated movie was released in US theatres? The last one I can remember has to have been at least a decade ago.

Bambi II is pretty recent if I remember well Smile I don't know if they released that in the US movie theaters but I think they did release it here. I'm not sure though, because I haven't seen it Very Happy

In my opinion it's too bad they're making so few 2D animated films these days. Don't get me wrong, I like 3D animation and I have absolutely nothing against it, but 2D always has something special about it. Maybe it's just me being a bit nostalgic, I don't know. But I've always preferred 2D animated films over 3D animated films and I probably always will Smile
