I have a blog on my LLP website running WordPress 2.1. Just recently, I have started getting 406 Not Acceptable errors whenever I try to post, edit pages, and other things. The full error states:

Of course, the resource changes depending on what I'm trying to do. This is a very frustrating problem because it impairs my ability to blog. For instance, I was trying to write a post about Bush's State of the Union address, but WP would post it if I had the word "union" in the title. And just today, it did post with "union" in the title, but now I can't delete the post or even put any useful content in it.
I've looked around on the WordPress support forums, but they all point to an issue with the webhost, or more specifically mod_security. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? And can I get some advice on how to fix it?
EDIT: Well, I seem to have fixed it by adding SecFilterEngine off to my .htaccess file. But I still would like to know why it was even happening in the first place.

One thing I can think of is file permissions. Have you messed with any lately?

SQL injection prevention. Union is a type of SQL statement and can sometimes trip these filters when certain words are used that look like SQL injection.
If you turn off filtering, even if necessary, we will suspend your account immediately if there are any security issues with your website.
I recommend putting in a support ticket to fix the issue as this helps you if your website is ever hacked.

But it's never done this before, and I'm sure I've used "union" somewhere. It could have something to do with the new way WP uses databases as of 2.1, I suppose.
Also, I haven't changed any file permissions recently, so I don't think that's the problem.

You should upgrade to the latest 2.1.2 (which release in 2 March):

If you upgraded the system in those day, your site is in risk!!
Can Trel make a announcement on this issue?
