The thing is that I wanted to try Poker for a long time now but couldn't. None of my friends play poker and what's the deal with Pokerstars.com and all other sites ? You have to pay to be able to join the table. How many of you play poker online and could recommend a good web site where I won't have to pay a penny to play ?

You can play for free on PokerStars. Download the software and then when you go into the program follow these steps:
1. Open the program, it might run a few updates, then eventually it'll just open.
2. Create a username and verify it and everything in the box that pops up when you open it.
3. If you want to play Texas Hold'em no limit, as I assume you do, click on the green tab that says "Hold'em".
4. Click on the green tab just under that that says "Play Money".
5. On the gold tabs below that click "No Limit".
6. Scroll down until you see a "5/10" stakes table, and double click it, pick a seat, then begin playing. It should be straightforward after that.

You never have to make a deposit to play on really any poker site, so these similar steps will work on FullTilt.com, UltimateBet.com, or PartyPoker.com as well if you'd rather try any of those.

Good luck at the tables.

Thank you. I got a question though. What happens when I lose my $1000 of play money ? Can I get more ?

I know for a fact that when you run out of play money chips it automatically gives you $1000 more, I'm not sure when that happens but I know it does if you hit $0. Have fun.
