So what do you think will happen for this month, and what do you suggest?

If you still do not know what is happening, the PBPP for April was deducted and converted only on May 17.

Well, we might want to discuss about this until Trel makes an announcement about what is going to happen. Smile

Well, I forsee one of two things happening. The first being that the PBPP will resume being deducted at the beginning of the month, to get everything back on track. That means we've only got about half a month to get the PBPP that we need. The other being that the PBPP will be again deducted at the middle of the month next month. Either way, one should try and get the required PBPP before the end of the month.

A third alternative which I don't see happening, is to skip May's payment and make it so we have the rest of May and all of June to gather June's payment. This would certainly get everything back on track, but this pretty much makes May a free month of hosting where no one has to pay anything and I don't know if Trel would want that.

He's going to have another round of PBPP collections tomorrow. Anyone who actually stays out of the negatives will be banned--it's his way of checking for spammers.

Who knows? I certainly don't.

I'm not sure why this is happening exactly. I actually like it, because I seem to have trouble collecting the required pbpp, but I really have doubts about the future of Lifelesspeople. It seems Trel is really inactive, the pbpp aren't deducted on the right moments anymore, new applications don't seem to be accepted at the moment.

There was a thread somewhere regarding this issue, although nothing was actually confirmed in writing.

As I gather things, Lifelesspeople will not punish members because there was a late collection of points from the previous month, although again, this has not been confirmed for this merry month of May.

To be honest I hope it stands with that "unwritten rule" because I have buckleys hope of reaching the target in the remaining eleven days of this month.

I hope we'll have at least till the next 17th to come up with those points. I'm in a bit of trouble here, seeing as I'm still in the negatives and so I must get the entire sum of 400PBPP this month, or get suspended. So yeah, hopefully there'd be no early collect this month either!

Exactly, I don't have the required amount yet, so I hope we'll get some extra time.

Trel cannot do the deduction on the 17th next month, because if this goes on, deduction may go on 17th for every month, and it looks a bit unbalanced.

Trel has 2 options now from what I think:

  • Offer discounts for the required amount of PBPP for this month
  • Offer us a free month and we even have lots of time to post for June, but he must deduct it on time for June.

Is it possible offering us a free month?

That would be so so great, if it happens. I have no idea how to post at leat 200 in this 5 days left, I am still on my business trip. And that means I do not have chance to post even I want to. I have Exchanged all my VSP, but only 100 rain day points.Sad

I am not sure that if there would be any change in these months, as every of us could see LLP is not the same as it was.

Maybe Trel is making a new plain...

Isn't there something, when someone first gets their hosting and there's only like a week left in the month, they only have to pay for the portion of the month they had their hosting? I just remembered reading something along those lines many months back. We have about 15 days to post for May, so we should only have to pay about 48% of what we would have to pay for a whole month.

This seems to me to be the most reasonable idea.

Hey I didn't think of that!

I kept thinking of "We already signed up a long time ago. We need to pay the full amount". I never thought of that happening. Silly

I was thinking of something like half of the required amount, for example if the required is 400 PBPP, pay 200 PBPP this month.

I think trel should maybe set a cron event to automatically deduct the vsp on the 1st of each month. I don't have this worry cause i don't have hosting. Also, I think I suggested this in the past. I forget why and if he said he was not going to do it.

Sometimes big scripts with lot of actions would slow down the server, if you do it by hand, you can choose a time when the server load is low to run the script. Maybe that's the reason he does it manually?

Yeah, I think that PPBP should be deducted on the 1st of every month right on that day and not keep it dragging on for another week or so. I think it's also very important that regardless of whether you have all the points you need on at the very end of the month, you PPBP should still be deducted and you'll just have a negative balance instead of waiting until the middle of the month.
