Poem: That Which is done

Ever feel this?

That Which is Done

It's supposed to be the greatest day
The most memorable moment of the year
Yet try as I might, I cannot rid myself what I did
I keep saying it wasn't my fault, my mind wasn't clear

This shouldn't be happening but onward I must
I smile at the camera all the while hiding my tears
But deep inside I know, and ask myself
How much longer can I suppress these fears?

Was what I did really so bad? So Wrong?
Can I forgive myself for what's been done?
Thinking back I don't know what went wrong
What we were doing was only for fun

Finally, I know what to do
I must never forget or be doomed
That which I've done is unforgivable
Never to scar but to bleed an eternal wound.
