The Earth can be round, but still flat. Think of a disc. The Wikipedia article on The Flat Earth Society has an image of what I'm talking about. It's flat, but circular, which is why you can travel all the way around and end up in the same spot, they believe latitude is circular (well, I guess it technically is, but hopefully you can catch my drift).

Bringing satellites into a polar orbit would prove rather impractical with a 'pancake world model' like that. Silly

This is proof that the earth is in fact flat, and only composed of 4 parts:

You can measure that the earth is round vs the orbit and position of the moon as well in fact Silly

Where did the American continent go, is it on the other side?
By the way, it looks more like a pie-chart. Rolling Eyes

North America didn't exist yet, it was later made by aliens or something. I'm not too good on history or geology though so my details could be a little off.

In seriousness though, it's a medieval depiction of the world called the T and O: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T_and_O_map

Doesn't really look like a proof or anything, it's simply a map. xD
