Lifelesspeople.com is an excellent webhost.
1. Service is great.
2. Downtime is very infrequent.
3. Technical help and all requests are answered quickly.
4. A growing community.
The reason this site has received fowl reviews and ratings are because people have been upset that their applications were denied. If you maintain a good website that abides with the TOS then you won't have to worry about this happening to you.
It's a great host. _________________ [img:040275cb17]http://img70.exs.cx/img70/4138/Java-Sig.png[/img:040275cb17] |

i voted very good because i'd have to view every single free host/server on this internet to know.
i could give it the best i've used but that doesnt seem to be an option. |

I voted very high:
8.Very good.
Because there is no "10.Perfect host"
And I also wanted to live room for improvments until the "9.The best!" status.
Possible improvements include:
SSH access
PHP5 (I think it proved production ready, and it should be implemented before any more people build their sites on php4, since it's slight differences might break a few php4-only sites).
And.. actualy, nothing more I can think of
Apart from that it is the best host I have encountered, from all of them, both payed and free.
(If it weren't, I would be using the other best, now, wouldn't I? ) _________________ -

You'll never get that unless you sign up for a free account on a shell provider. I don't think trel will give us that because, even though we would just have normal user accounts, we could still *much* more easily do nasty things to his servers. A lot harder to maintain.
if you want a shell account with some free webspace, then head over to http://www.metawire.org .

Indeed, I wasn't actively suggesting shell acces for everyone, being aware that it would be a security-risky feature to give (and to receive, for that matter)
I was merely poiting out posible (pretty stretched) areas of improvement. Not that there were many.
As for possible ssh acces implementations on llp, one might be to sell it for a solid amount of VSPs, providing in this maner that only highly active forum members that hence proved their good intentions might have acces to it.
Just some thoughts. _________________ -

I find the hosting here very good, but the admins and service here is excellent. Constantly updated, admins are always happy to help out, I've seen not one problem here!

PHP5 may be provided eventually but, at the moment its kind of like Apache2. Its used by developers but, the rest of us just stick with what works. _________________ * Knowledge Base * Wiki * Forum FAQs * |
