Read this story at Herald Sun, its a Right Brain vs Left Brain test … do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise? If clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa. Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it. Check out this article.

DOH! hit the wrong button, but I see it clockwise mostly. But I can get it to go either way!

While the frames were loading, it went clockwise, then anticlockwise, then I switched tabs, came back and it started going clockwise.

Anyway, I'm more right-brain but knew this from before, this test is just confusing as you can switch either by convincing yourself or looking at it from a different perspective accidentally.

I can assure you that this type of test is totally worthless. Your not going to know a lot about your brain with a simple image.
Like math and language are totally opposite and this test lists them on the same side. In fact it's quite common for people who are good at math to 'suck' at languages.

Hey, there is only one way turning, that is what I can see, the clockwise.

I have no idea how you guys can make it the other way?

That's pretty cool. Wonder how it works...

Anyhow, I originally saw it counter-clockwise, but it's pretty easy to make her switch direction simply by visualizing her go another way. I just visualize it - and then after a while she changes direction. Very neat.

Is that simple? It dose not work to me, no matter how hard I try to imagine. Confused

What exactly do you mean "languages"? Like learning a foreign language?

I am quite good at math (if I am allowed to brag Silly), and also have always done excellent in my English/Language Arts classes. I was also decent in Spanish, I picked up the language more easily than most others in my class, but I never did quite as good in Spanish as any other subject.

Anyways, I saw it turning clockwise, but I could focus and see it turning counter-clockwise too.

Maybe you are just convincing yourself that you cannot change the direction. Close your eyes, come back to it later or something and you may accidentally change the direction you perceive it to be turning and then it might be easier now that you know it is "possible".

Ok you can tell that it is late on my end because when I first opened it up I honestly say it moving in an anti-clockwise direction but then after I read the article and went back to it and looked at it again I saw the image rotating in a clockwise fashion. I started to wonder if perhaps it is really way too early on my end and my mind was playing tricks on me or if I did finally focus and see it the way that they were saying you would eventually see it. Either way I do not know if it is a really concise or true test of what brain you use more than the other, but it was interesting to say the least. Thanks for posting it. It was kind of cool.

May I ask how you study math, do you just learn everything by heart or do you understand it.

I understand the concepts behind the math, if that is what you are asking. My schools have made pretty sure I know what I am doing Wink
