I know L2P supports Ruby, but is there any support for the Rails library ( http://www.rubyonrails.org/ )?

If not, will it be possible to implement this on L2P servers?

Thanks in advance.

Ruby is supported but, Ruby on Rails is not due to the fact you need shell access to make it work properly.

Would it be possible to have an OpenInstaller script set up to do that sort of thing for us?

ie: We provide it with a directory we want a Rails framework set up, and the script executes the nessicery shellwork to get it done.

I'd really like to have this available... heck, I'm willing to make the script mentioned above.

With the cPAddons functionality its not a half bad idea. I hadn't thought of using it like that but, it seems like an interesting idea.

The problem is that also Ruby on Rails doesn't scale all that well and eats up considerable server resources when a website using it becomes more active.

I see; didn't know that.

Still, it'd be a nice thing to have around for development purposes if nothing else. Is there any chance of this happening?

Reguardless of the outcome, thanks for the quick response, Trel. Smile

There is a chance. I'm looking into different possibilities to make this work.
