Hey I dont know if many people here are involved with pencil drawings and shadings. I am having this one problem when I try and scan the final peice onto my computer. i dont know if its the scanner quality because when it comes out it comes out all grey and blochy, dosnt look anyhting like the original pencil if you were to see it real life.
I was looking in these art books and they are able to scan perfect pencil into the books and I was wondering is it just a REALLY expensive scanner or what.
The scanner I am using is like a hp printer with a copier and scanner.
Thanks

Hmmm, have you played around with the brightness/contrast settings at all. I'm sure you will have to tweak the default settings for scanning in pencil sketches to get the quality good. I'm sure it would have to do with the contrast in your case. Make sure you are using a pretty high DPI aswell. _________________ The Gamer's Journal | Online Portfolio | Half-Life Library | UNDATA |

Most people actually use the pen tool in photoshop to create paths and use brush strokes to replicate it in photoshop and put the scan on the background. _________________

I dont want to make the pencil drawing digital though using photoshop I just want people to see what it looks like in real life.
I will try and find this DPI and contrast and stuff. I really dont know how I am going to change it though we will see. |
