A slightly "deeper" question about the inner-workings, and you'll probably won't want to answer these, but I figure its worth a shot:
Do you deal with VC investors? Or are most of your ventures out-of-pocket deals (or ventures based off of built of wealth)? It all has to start from somewhere.
It was inevitable, with the way the world turns, larger organizations have given up development in favor of eating up smaller projects and calling it their own (AT&T, GM, Lockheed Martin are notorious at this). This has shifted over prominently into the technology sector, specifically the Internet. All you have to do is look at News Corp (MySpace), Google (Keyhole, YouTube), ZDNet (C|Net, Gamespot, etc). Do you see yourself as a gobbler? Or a gobblee? Its not a judgment or anything. My upcoming venture is based on the fact that I intend on being a gobblee. |
